it's cooooooolllllldddddd!! i'm a tough french bulldog, but i don't love to be outside in this weather so much. as a smart, fashionista french bulldog, i wear layers to keep myself warmer and more stylish.

this year, my snow gears are the orange hoodie, red jacket, and red bootie. yes, the jacket and the bootie are matching, of course! everyone looks at me and loves my look. fun!!

でーーーーーら寒いがねーーー！ぼくは強いフレンチブルドッグだけど、やっぱりこんなお天気の日は外に出たくなくなるがね。ぼくは賢いオサレさんだから、こういう日には重ね着ファッションを楽しむんだに。

今年の重ね着は、オレンジのフード付きセーターに赤いコート、それに赤いブーツだに。もちろん、赤いコートとブーツはばっちり合っとるなもー。みんなぼくのこと見て、ぼくのかわいさにメロメロだがね！！

it's a bit late, but happy new year everyone! it's 2012 and it's going to be MY year! every new year's eve, i eat soba to wish for a long life, and go to shrines in my apartment to pray for a good year, and i eat the mochi that is in this photo. did you know that i have my own shrine at home? my parents bought it from ise shrine in japan and named it after me. it's chubu shrine!

i hope a lot of good things happen to my fans this year!! and i hope many many happy things happen in the world. the more french bulls, the better the world will be!

ちょっと遅れてまったけど、あけましておめでとうだがねー。もう２０１２年なんだなも。今年はぼくの年になる予定なんだがね！いつも大晦日には長生きできますようにっておそばを食べて、お正月にはアパートにあるチュウブ神社にお参りするんだに。それからちゃんとお餅も食べるよ。うちのアパートの中に神社があるなんてすごいがねー。アーロンとアヤコが伊勢神宮で買って来た神棚を、チュウブ神社ってぼくにちなんで名前をつけてくれたんだに。

ぼくのこと見とってくれるみんなに、いいことがたくさんある一年になりますように！世界中でいいことがいっぱい起きますように！震災で大変な思いしとる人たちにいいことがでーらいっぱいありますように！！それから世界がフレンチブルドッグいっぱいになりますように〜！

today is a 6th month day of the earthquake and tsunami in japan. today is a 10th year day of the 9.11 attack. and today is my 4th birthday. i always had a complicated feeling about my birthday because of the 9.11, but this year, my feelings are even more complicated because of the earthquake and tsunami and nuclear disaster.

i'm a very positive, optimistic french bull, so i will think that my birthday adds something sweet to this sad day. at every birthday, i eat a piece of steak and a lot of sweet potatoes, which is my absolute favorite. and i pray, pray, pray for peaceful world. i want everyone in this world to be able to live peacefully and happily like me.

今日で震災から６ヶ月。今日でアメリカの同時多発テロから１０年。そして今日でぼくは４歳。ぼく、自分の誕生日が９月１１日で、なんかちょっと複雑な気分だったんだけど、今年はそれに加えて震災と原発事故があったからますます複雑な気分になるんだに。

ぼくはでら前向きで楽天家なフレンチブルドッグだから、今日みたいな悲しい日だけど、ぼくの誕生日ってことでちょっとハッピーな日になってほしいなも。毎年ぼくの誕生日には大好きなステーキとさつまいものごちそうなんだけど、今日はそのごちそうを食べたら、世界が平和になりますようにってお祈りするでね！みんながぼくみたいに平和に幸せに暮らせる世界になってほしいなも。

4 facial expressions 顔芸４変化

frog face has a lot of facial expressions.... my parents' job is to read my mind from what my face looks like. look at my eloquent facial expressions!
かえる顔はいろんな顔芸ができるんだに。アーロンとアヤコは、ぼくの顔見てぼくが何考えとるか想像するんだに。ほれ、目は口ほどにものを言うって言うだらー？今日は顔芸４連発だに！

#1: sweet face. look how wide my face looks! i bring my ears back to make my face rounder. my mom goes crazy when i make this face. i know i look very cute.
１番：かわいいー！かえる顔。これはぼくの顔が一番大きく見える顔芸なんだに。耳をうしろのほうに持ってくると顔がますますまるーく見えるだらー？アヤコはぼくがこの顔芸するとでら喜ぶんだに。まーぼくがかわいいのはよーくわかっとるんだけどね！

#2: pissed off teenager face. i'm a proud young man, so sometimes i get pissed at my parents teasing me so much. so this face is basically saying "what do you want??"
２番：反抗期のかえる顔。ぼくはもう反抗期は過ぎたけど、そいでもアーロンとアヤコがあんまりぼくのことからかうもんで、たまーにむかつくことだってあるんだに！そういうときはこの顔芸だがね。「なんか文句あるー？」っていう顔だに。

#3: model with wind blowing face. as you know, i had a career as a super model, so i'm trained to do this face. models use a big fan to make their hair go crazy. i use a fan to make my eyes like this. ah, i look so handsome it's unbelievable.
３番：風に吹かれるモデルかえる顔。ぼく、モデルの仕事もしたことあるでねー、だからこういう顔だってできてまうんだに。よく撮影ででっかい扇風機使うだらー？ぼくもたまに扇風機つかってモデル顔の復習するんだに。あーもうでらかっちょいいがねー！

#4: tired sleepy face. that was a lot of work that i just did! i'm going to take a nap now. i deserve it.
４番：疲れた眠いかえる顔。あー、顔芸はやっぱ疲れるなもー。ちょっと休憩してお昼寝しないかん。

i got a new job! i was looking for a perfect job for me for a while, and i finally found one - guarding a doll house! when i visited my friend zoeteens, i saw a big doll house for the first time. there are little people and little furniture there! they were small enough for me to swallow, but i didn't because i have to guard them!

it's so much fun to spy on those little people having tea in the doll house. they look so different from my mom and dad. and it's so cool that i can watch what's happening on the second floor, too! i searched, but they didn't have any treat there. i think those little people were very happy that i was guarding them. i'm so good at it!

ぼく、新しい仕事見つけたがねー！しばらくいい仕事ないかなーって探しとったんだけど、やっと見つけたがね！それは、人形の家の番犬だに。この前、ぼくの友達ゾーイの家に遊びに行ったとき、人形の家を初めて見たんだに。家の中にはちーっちゃい人とか家具とかがあったなも。人はでーらちっちゃくて、一口で食べれそうだったけど我慢したんだに。だってぼくの仕事はあの人たちを守ることだもんねー。

あの小さい人たちがティータイムしとるのをこっそり覗くのは楽しかったなもー。アヤコとアーロンとは全然違って見えるんだに。しかも、ぼくだって２階までちゃーんと覗けるんだに。でらいい気分だがね！いろいろ探しまわったけど、あのちいさい人たちはぼくのおやつは持っとらんかったなも。でもぼくの番犬ぶりは気に入ってくれたと思うにー。ぼく、何やっても上手なんだなも！

2 important tricks でら大事な芸２つ

it's a french bulldog hot dog day! my neighborhood has a lot of italian sausage stands at street fairs. when i walk around, i smell sausages everywhere and it's so hard for me to focus on walking. there are a lot of games, too, but the food comes first! so i convinced my mom to get a giant hot dog and eat outside.

ah, the sausage smells so gooooood! i can do 2 tricks to get food and treat - one is begging eyes and the other is sad eyes. the begging eyes is when i open my eyes so big and round and stare at the food. the sad eyes is when i have some tears in my eyes and look at my parents' face. those 2 tricks really work!

今日はフレンチブルドッグのホットドッグの日〜！このへんはイタリア風ソーセージの屋台がいっぱい出るんだに。散歩しとってもソーセージのい〜いにおいがしてきて散歩に集中できんがね！お祭りにはゲームとかもいろいろあるけど、やっぱり花より団子だに！ぼくはアヤコを説得して、でっかいジャンボホットドッグを買ったんだに。

あー、ソーセージいいにおいだなもー。ぼく、おやつとか食べ物とかをもらうために、２つ効果的な方法をしっとるんだに。一つは「お願い目」で、これはまんまるに目を開けてじーーーーっと食べ物を見つめる方法。もう一つは「切ない目」で、アーロンとアヤコの顔をじーっと切なそうに見つめる方法なんだに。どっちも効果ばつぐんだがね！

new clothes is always exciting! my aunt tomi-chan bought a set of outfit for me - a hoodie, a hat, leg warmers, and a scarf! they are awesome!! the hoodie looks so good on me. i think orange is my new favorite color. ayako sometimes puts the hat on me even when we are staying inside and it's so annoying, but i'll bear anything to look cute! winter isn't so bad because i can dress up!

hi everyone! it's a bit late, but happy new year!! i hope it is going to be a great year for everyone.

it's been a very very cold winter here in ny. we had so many snow storms. and today again, it's a snow day!! my mom's office is closed and we went to the park to play with snow! i love swimming in snow!!! but it was really deep and i was stuck in the snow at one point. i'll run anywhere to get treats, though! my brindle body looks so handsome in bright white snow, don't you think?

hello mate! 海賊だがね！

I know everyone was waiting for my halloween photos! This year, I had 3 costumes; pirate from last year, banana, and shark. My mom liked the shark costume, but my dad liked pirate more, so I went to the parade in brooklyn as a pirate.

My mom made a chubu mask for herself, so we went as double french bulldog all the way. I love when people say “oh, look at the pirate dog! Soooo cute!!!!” I did my model style walking because I was so proud how cute I was.

My only complaint is that no one had dog treats to offer me. I visited so many buildings, but no one gave me a treat. So sad! Maybe they knew that I was saying “trick AND treat!”

やっぱりみんなぼくのハロウィン写真、期待しとるでしょー！今年はぼく、衣装を３着も用意したんだに。去年着た海賊の衣装、バナナの衣装、それからサメの衣装だに。アヤコはサメで行きたがってたけど、アーロンがどうしても海賊のほうがかわいいって言うから、また海賊で行くことになったんだに。

アヤコはぼくの顔マスクを自分用に作ったから、ぼくたちダブルフレンチブルドッグだに！みんなが「きゃーーーー、海賊犬だがね！でらかわいいがね！！！」って言ってくれるのを聞くとでーらうれしいなも！ぼく、うれしくてモデル歩きしてまったがねー。

ちなみに、ぼくの唯一の不満は、だーれも犬用おやつを用意しといてくれんかったことだに。ぼく、いろんなアパートとか家に行ってみたのに、ぼくにくれるおやつなんて誰も持っとらんかったねー。がっかりだがね！みんな、ぼくの場合は「おやつをくれなきゃイタズラするぞ」でなくて、「芸するからおやつちょーだい」っていうこと、わかっとらんかったのかもなもー。

i'm your biggest french bull and i'll follow you until you smorge me.... chubu chuburazzi! this is my new song! it's very easy, you can sing along with me. i have a new favorite toy and i'm in love with this walrus toy. so i was taking a nap with him and cuddling.... and my dad took photos with super zoom camera! he is a chuburazzi and i have to be very careful... maybe he was jealous that i love the walrus so much?

ぼくはでっかいフレンチブルドッグ〜　ぼくのこと好きになってくれるまで追いかけるからね〜　チュブ、チュブラッチ〜〜！これ、ぼくの新しい歌だがねー。もちろん元の歌はレディーガガだに。簡単だでみんなも一緒に歌ってちょー。今日はなんてこの歌を歌っとるかって言うと、アーロンにパパラッチされたからだに。ぼくは今、新しいセイウチのぬいぐるみに夢中で、一緒に昼寝したりだっこしたりしとるんだけど、それをアーロンがズームレンズでこっそり写真撮っとったんだに。ひどいなもー。アーロンはまさにチュブラッチだに！ぼくも気をつけないかんがねー。まあアーロンはぼくがあんまりセイウチと仲良くしとるから、やきもちやいとるんだと思うけどね！

fall swimming 秋泳ぎ

it's fall now and fall is a very nice season - sweet potato will be ready for me and it's a little cooler outside. my parents and i took a little trip to a big park in new jersey. we went to the same park last year and we liked it a lot, so we came again.

there's a stream in the park and i went swimming. swimming in fall is the cool thing to do! at first i was scared a bit, but i was so brave and jumped in the water. woohoo! it feels so good to swim in a river! my human dad loves swimming in a river, so i'm like that, too. i sometimes suspectmy human dad is actually a french bulldog because we are so similar!

秋だがね！秋はいい季節だなもー。さつまいもはおいしくなるし、涼しくなるし。そういうわけで、ぼくはアーロンとアヤコとニュージャージーにある公園に行ってきたんだに。去年この公園に来て気に入ったからまた今年も来たんだにー。

この公園の中には小川が流れとって、ぼくはそこで泳いだんだに。秋に泳ぐのが通なんだがねー！最初はちょっと怖いなーって思っとったけど、ぼくは勇敢なフレンチブルドッグだから思い切って飛び込んだんだに。うひょーーーー気持ちいいがね！川で泳ぐのって気持ちいいなもー。アーロンも川で泳ぐのが大好きなんだに。きっとぼくはアーロンに似たんだなも。ときどきぼくは、アーロンって実は人間のふりして本当はフレンチブルドッグなんでないのーって疑っとるんだに。だってぼくたち、本当によー似とるからねー！

a day in a farm 農業体験

hello everyone! it's already september... time goes by so fast! anyway, i want to show you some photos of my farm experience! i went to visit aaron's uncle & aunt the other day. they moved to next to a very nice chicken farm. so i went to say hi to the chickens. they didn't have any eggs left for me, but they seemed happy and loud.

after my farm experience, it's a photo time with betty. both of us are very photogenic! i love betty so much, so i can't stop smiling. and i love her new house! i want to visit her and her house again soon.

みんな元気にしとるー？ひっさしぶりだがね！もう９月なんて信じられんねー。今日はぼくの農業体験の写真を見せてあげるがね！この前、アーロンのおじさんとおばさんの新しい家に行ってきたんだに。新しい家は街の農園のすぐとなりにあって、そこにはにわとり小屋があったんだに。ぼく、にわとりに会うのは初めてだがね！にわとり小屋に卵は残っとらんかったけど、にわとり友たちは幸せそうだったに。

農業体験のあとはベティと写真の時間だに。ぼくたち二人とも写真写りがいいなもー。ベティってあいかわらずかわいいなもー。ぼく、ついデレデレしてまうがねー。それにベティの新しい家はすごくいい家なんだに。うらやましいなもー。また遊びに行きたいなも！

cow friends 牛友

the other day, i went to a milk cow farm and met some cows. this was the first time for me to meet any cows. supposedly, the cows i met were babies, but they were huge for a baby.

i felt a bit awkward because my main diet is beef, and i'm so smart that i know the milk cows are the relatives of the beef i eat. but the baby cows loved me and tried to lick my face! of course i stayed calm so not to scare the babies, i'm a big boy now! i changed my diet to half cod - half beef after i met them... i think i can be friends with them next time.

この間、ぼくは乳牛の牧場に行ってきたんだに。ぼく、初めて乳牛友にあったんだなもー。ぼくが出会ったのはどうやら赤ちゃん牛だったらしいんだけど、それにしてはでーらでっかかったがね１

実はぼく、ちょっと牛友に会うのがいやだったんだに。だってぼくの主食は牛肉だもんねー。ぼくは賢いから、乳牛がぼくのごはんと親戚だってことは知っとるんだに。でも赤ちゃん牛友はぼくのこと、でーら気に入ったみたいだったがね！ぼくの顔をくんくんして、べろーーんってなめようとしとったに。今はぼく、ごはんを牛肉半分、白身魚半分って変えたんだに。これで次からは乳牛友といい友達になれそうだなも！

oh no my belly! おなかがー！

summer is here! as you know, we french bulldogs are not very good at handling the heat. so i came up with a new hair style for the summer - shaved belly! this way, i can show off my beautiful belly skin, and i feel much cooler on a hot day. i think this is the best idea! my only question is... will my fur grow back by the cold winter??

no no, i didn't shave my belly to stay cool... i had to do some ultrasound test for my belly. don't worry, i'm ok! my liver was acting funny, so i changed my diet a bit. now i'm feeling much better! my mom and dad love my shaved belly though. i heard that they are planning to do that again next summer. hmmmm, i don't know if i should accept that offer or not!

夏だー！みんなも知っとると思うけど、ぼくたちフレンチブルドッグは暑さに弱いんだに。だからぼくはでらいいことを考えた。夏の新しいヘアスタイル、それはおなか坊主！おなかの毛を剃ってまえば、ぼくのすべすべお肌も自慢できるし、あっつーい日でも涼しく過ごせるってもんだに。でーらいい考えだがね！でもひとつ不安なのは、ちゃーんと寒い冬までに毛が戻ってくるかなーってことだなも。

うそうそ、涼しくするためにおなかを剃ったんじゃないんだに。おなかの調子がわるくて、超音波の検査をしないかんかったんだにー。でも心配しんでいいよ、ぼく大丈夫だがね！肝臓がなんかへんだったから検査したんだけど、異常なしだったに。今は食べ物をちょっと変えて、気分も上々だがねー。アヤコとアーロンはぼくのつるつるのおなかが気に入っとって、来年も剃っちゃおうかって相談しとるんだに。ううーん、それはちょっとー、、、だなも。

red hook dog beach レッドフックの犬用ビーチ

summer has come! i don't do so well in heat, but i love summer. this morning, i went to a dog beach in red hook, brooklyn. (i think that was a dog beach, but maybe it's for humans, too) the water is cold, and the sun is hot. it's a perfect summer day! my dad threw so many sticks and i went into the water so bravely! i didn't have my life jacket on, but i was able to swim a little bit. i am a very good french bulldog.

oh, look at those human friends going in water on a vinyl canoe! i wanted to jump into their canoe, but they didn't want me to. that canoe looked so much like the beach ball i have... i bit the ball hard and it isn't round any more. maybe next time, i'll ride the canoe with my dad and mom!

夏だーーー！ぼく、暑さには弱いけど夏は大好きなんだに。今朝、ぼくはブルックリンのレッドフックにある犬用ビーチに行ってきたんだに。ぼくには犬用に見えたけど、人間用なのかもしれんねー。お水は冷たくて、太陽はキラキラ暑くて最高だがね！アーロンが木の枝を何回も投げてくれて、ぼくは勇敢に水の中に飛び込んだんだに。いつもの救命胴衣を着とらんかったけど、ちゃーんと泳げたに。ぼくって本当にすばらしいフレンチブルドッグなんだなもー。

ほれ、ビニール製のカヌーに乗った人間友がおるがね！ぼくもカヌーに乗せてほしかったけど載せてもらえんかったに。あのカヌー、ぼくのビーチボールにそっくりだったなも。ぼくのビーチボールはぼくが噛み付いたらもうまんまるじゃなくなってまったけどね。今度はアーロンとアヤコと一緒にカヌーに乗りたいなも！

cake thief ケーキどろぼう

On mother’s day, my mom was eating a strawberry shortcake by herself. That cake looked so good with so much whip cream and golden sponge, and the strawberry was so red and perfect. I sat next to her very patiently so she let me taste it. I waited and waited, but she doesn’t look like she will give me a bite.

She went to get a second cup of coffee and she found the rest of her cake was gone. My dad took it! Yes he did!! There’s no one else who could have stolen the cake!!! Very bad dad!!!! ....burp!

母の日の日曜日、アヤコは自分ひとりでショートケーキを食べとった。生クリームがたっぷりで、スポンジもふかふかやわらかそうで、イチゴは真っ赤でいいにおいで、でーらおいしそうだったがねー。じーっと待っとったら一口くれるかなーと思って、ぼくは我慢強くずーっとアヤコのとなりでおすわりして待っとったんだに。でも待てど暮らせどぜんっぜん分けてくれんかった。

アヤコが２杯目のコーヒーを注ぎに行って戻ってきたら、ケーキがあとかたもなく消えとった！これは絶対にアーロンの仕業だに。そうに決まっとる！アーロン以外に犯人と考えられる人なんておらんもんね！！ひっどいがねー！！！（げっぷ）

ah, nice day! it's warm and not humid, breezy and perfect! i love laying down in the sun. i heard the trees making nice soothing sound. my mouth is as big as it gets to smile in the sun. on an afternoon like this, my mind goes far away... i'm thinking about the green rice field in japan. the rice plants are growing in the sun and moving their bodies to the wind... until i get to eat them in fall. i'm so happy thinking of food!

Hola everyone! Happy cinco de mayo! Today is a mexican celebration, so I’m wearing a mexican hat to honor their culture. I look so cute in any hats, but this mexican hat is especially good on me. I think I need some props, though.... I wouldn’t mind trying mexican dog food! How about the bone in a shape of cactus or maracas? Ah, great idea! I think I’ll copyright it!

ハッピーシンコデマヨ！シンコデマヨっていうのはメキシコのお祭りなんだに。文字通り、ハッピー５月５日っていう意味なんだに。日本ではこどもの日だねー。どっちにしろおめでたいんだなも。ぼくはメキシコの文化に敬意を表して、今日はメキシコ風の帽子をかぶってみたんだに。ぼく、帽子ってなんでも似合うタイプなんだけど、この帽子はとくによく似合っとるがねー！でもなんかもっと小道具があってもいいんでないの？メキシコ料理のドッグフードとかも食べてみたいなも。サボテンとかマラカスの形のおもちゃなんてどう？あー、でらいいアイデア！今すぐ商標登録するんだなも！

spring time nap time 春眠暁を覚えず

ah, it's been a while since i last updated my blog! sorry!! i was so busy eating treats and playing with my toys. it's spring time, yaay! we had a long long winter, so i'm very excited to finally welcome the spring.

what comes to your mind when you know it's spring time? my answer is napping! it's getting harder and harder to wake up in the morning... no no, it's so easy for me to wake my dad and mom up early, but i have to go back to sleep after they are fully awake. i love taking morning naps and afternoon naps in the sunlight. my favorite spot right now is this orange chair. the curve of this chair perfectly fits my curve as if it were designed for me! plus, my brindle body pops so nicely on this orange chair background. i'm so artistic that i care the way i look even when i'm napping!

あー、ちょっとブログの更新さぼってまったがね！許してちょー！！おやつ食べたり遊んだりするのででーら忙しくしとったんだに。あっというまにもう春だがね！なぎゃー冬のあとだで、春はうれしいなもー。

春って聞くと何思い浮かべる？ぼくはねー、春のお昼寝！ほれ、春眠暁を覚えずって言うだらー？朝起きるのがツライがね！おっと、ぼくは朝起きるのは得意だに。そいで、アーロンとアヤコを朝早くから起こすのがぼくのつとめなんだに。でもふたりが完全に起きたあと、どーしても眠くなってまって２度寝するんだに。朝のお昼寝も午後のお昼寝も最高だがねー。最近のお気に入りスポットはこのオレンジ色の派手なイスの上だに。座る部分のカーブ具合が、ぼくの背中のカーブ具合とばっちりマッチするんだに。ぼくのためにデザインされたようなもんだがね！しかもぼくのブリンドルの身体はこのオレンジのイスによーく合うんだに。ぼくってゲージツ家だで、寝とるときまで見た目にこだわるんだに！

snow swimming 雪泳ぎ

Snow day again! It snows so much this winter in new york. I love snow! When I saw the snow coming down, I got so excited. As soon as I went outside, I went so crazy. My special skill in the snow is snow swimming. This is a frog face specialty.

Because I’m a french bulldog, I can be like a bulldozer in the snow. I eat some snow while hopping and running in the snow. My mom asks me how I decide which part of snow I eat and I realized that human friends can’t see the special part in the snow. Some parts of the snow is more shining and it looks like shave ice. That’s why I hop to eat it. My round belly gets cold inside and outside and it feels so good. If you see the trail like this photo, you can find a french bulldog in the wild.

また雪だがね！この冬のニューヨークは本当に雪が多いなもー。ぼく、雪は大好きだがね！雪が降っとるのがわかると興奮してくるんだに。外にでたらすぐに大興奮して走り回ってまうんだに。ぼくの雪遊び技術はすごいんだにー。なんと雪の中で泳げるんだに。これはかえる顔の得意技だなもー。

ぼくはフレンチブルドッグだから、雪の中でもブルドーザーみたいにずんずん進む。ジャンプしたりスキップしたりしながら、ときどき雪も食べてまうんだに。アヤコはいっつも、雪なんてみんな同じに見えるのに、なんでぼくはある部分の雪を選んで食べるのかなもーって不思議に思っとるみたいだね。あー、人間友には見えんのだねー。雪の一部分はもっとキラキラしとって、食べるとかき氷みたいなんだに。でらうまだがねー。ぼくの丸いおなかは、外からも中からもひんやりしてきていい気持ちだがねー。この写真にあるみたいな跡を雪の中で見つけたら、野生のフレンチブルドッグを見つけられるかもしれんよ！

真央ちゃん、銀メダル本当におめでとう！！お疲れさま！！トリプルアクセルを２回も決めて、真央ちゃんは女子フィギュアスケートに歴史を作ったがね！銀メダルは悔しいけど、ぼくは真央ちゃんのこと誇りに思うよ！ぼく、真央ちゃんのこと大好きで本当によかったなもー。真央ちゃん見とると、ぼく日本人犬でよかったなもーなんて思うんだに。真央ちゃんががんばっとるから、ぼくもがんばろうって思えるんだに。真央ちゃんはずっとぼくの目標なんだに！だから真央ちゃんには、ぼく特製の金メダルあげるがねー！

悔しがって悔しがって、そしてその悔しさを糧にして、また真央ちゃんの素敵な演技が見たいなもー。真央ちゃんならできるよ、大丈夫！今までがまんしとった甘いものも、今日は食べちゃう日なんだに。よかったらぼくのおやつも分けてあげるにー。真央ちゃん、大好き！これからもがんばって！！ずっと応援しとるからね！

Do you watch winter olympics? I love sports, I love olympics! That olympic theme song makes me cry. And my favorite athlete is mao-chan!!! Mao-chan is a true athlete with sportsmanship. ah, i'm so busy everyday! i'm working on this chewing bone now. i start from one side and i don't start on the other size until my job is done on the first side. i'm a perfectionist! i have a lot of chew bones, so there are so much chewing work i have to do. so busy!

what's important after work is stretching! i'm really good at stretching. i can stretch my back legs, too. stretching is so important for busy frog face like me.

slam dunk! スラムダンク！

i started playing a new sport - basketball. the ball is so much bigger than a tennis ball that i usually play with. but i'm a big boy now and i can handle it. so i started examining the basketball. i have to know the enemy before i conquer.

i found that this ball bounces so high! so i had to show off my skill. i jumped so high to get the ball. look how high i can jump! i can jump as high as the basketball. i think the basketball got intimidated after seeing my amazing jump and it got calm down. ha! i mastered basketball as i expected! i gave the ball some kisses for his nice try. i'm a true sportsman!

ぼくは最近、新しいスポーツを始めたんだに。それはバスケだに。バスケットボールはぼくがいつも遊んどるテニスのボールよりずっとでっかいなも。でもぼくは強いからでっかいボールでも大丈夫だに。まず最初にボールをじっくり観察したんだに。なんていっても、このボールに勝つにはまず相手をよく知らないかんからねー。

観察の結果、バスケットボールはでら高くはずむっていうのがわかったんだに。こうなったらぼくも自慢のジャンプ力を見せつけないかんがね！ほれ、ぼくこんなに高くジャンプできるんだに！すごいだらー？このジャンプ力にさすがのバスケットボールもぼくのこと怖くなったみたいで、すっかりおとなしくなってまったね。イェーイ。もうバスケをマスターしたがね！試合のあとはボールの健闘を称えてべろべろしてあげた、ぼくってスポーツマンシップにあふれとるがね！

hibernation　冬眠

ah, it's so cold every day! i like wearing my winter jacket because they look so cute on me, but i don't love the cold weather so much. so what i do in winter is hibernation. i think my mom wants to hibernate with me, but she can't do that on weekdays. on weekends, we hibernate together in the afternoon. it's so nice and warm... i love when she has a soft sweater on. i usually drool while sleeping and she finds my drooling on her sweater later when she wants to wear it again. it's the trace of my love!

あー、毎日毎日寒いなもー。冬のコートを着て散歩するのはぼくがさらにかわいくみえるからいいんだけど、でもあんまり寒いのはちょっといやだに。だから冬の間ぼくは冬眠するんだに。アヤコもぼくと一緒に冬眠したそうにしとるけど、平日は無理だからねー。だから週末になるとぼくとアヤコは一緒に午後の冬眠するんだに。あったかくて静かでいい気分だなもー。アヤコガやわらかいセーター着とるときなんて寝心地は最高だがねー。でもぼくはいっつも寝とるときヨダレをたらすから、アヤコガあとでそのセーター着ようとするときヨダレを発見して怒られてまうんだに。ヨダレはぼくの愛情の印ってことにしとかないかんがね！

dog totem pole 犬トーテムポール

at my grandparents' house, i worked with my dog cousins and created a new trick. this is our joint project! our project is to build a dog totem pole.

step 1, the smallest dog, which is me in this case.
step 2, a tall dog steps into his position. his positioning is very important.
step 3, the small one takes his position under the tall one, his head has to line up with the tall one's
step 4, another tall dog takes his position, making sure the perspective

and tada! this is our dog totem pole! we are genius!!

じーちゃんばーちゃん家で、ぼくはイトコ犬たちとコラボで新しい芸を生み出したんだに。初のジョイントプロジェクトってやつだに。それは、犬トーテムポールを作るという、すごいプロジェクトなんだがね！

その１、一番小さい犬、準備。この場合はぼくだに。
その２、背が高い犬、ポジションに着く。このときの立ち位置はでら重要なんだなも。
その３、最初の小さい犬もポジションに着く。このとき頭の位置が大きい犬の頭に揃うように。
その４、もう一匹の大きい犬、位置に着く。このときは遠近感をちゃんと考えて位置につくこと。

ほーれ、犬トーテムポールのできあがりだに！すごいがね！ぼくたちってあったまいいがねー！

horse friends 馬友

i went to my grandparents' house for thanksgiving. they have 2 horses - rep and monty. it is my tradition to go say hi to them when they are outside. look how big rep's face is! his eyes are so sweet, maybe 10 times bigger than mine. i love sniffing around his nose because the area around his nose is so soft. my face almost fits in his nose!

because i'm the boss of all the big dogs in my grandparents' house, i wanted to show rep how bossy i am. i stood up on the wooden railing and tried to make my body look taller and stronger. ha! i feel like a king of the world! ...wait, i feel like someone is watching me from behind. am i in trouble?

感謝祭でじーちゃんばーちゃんの家に行ってきたんだに。じーちゃんばーちゃんの家には２匹の馬友が住んどる。名前はレップとモンティって言うんだに。感謝祭にはいっつも馬友に挨拶に行くのが恒例行事なんだに。レップの顔、でーらでっかいだらー？でーらやさしい目しとるねー。ぼくの目とくらべると１０倍くらいの大きさなんでないの？ぼくはレップの鼻の周りでブヒブヒするのが好きなんだに。だってあの鼻の周りはでーらふかふかやわらかいんだよねー。ぼくの顔なんか、レップの鼻の穴の中に入ってまうんでないの？

ぼくはじーちゃんばーちゃん家の大きい犬友たちのボスだから、レップにもぼくがいかにすごいかってことを見せつけようと思って、フェンスに上ったんだに。ぼく、なんかでっかく見えるだらー？すごいがねー！王様にでもなった気分だがね！。。。ちょっと待って、なんか後ろから視線を感じるんだけど、もしかして危険が近づいとるってこと？？

yogi chubu ヨガマスターチュウブ

it seems like yoga is so popular these days. i know there are dog yoga classes in ny. but i can do it in my own french way! so here are some of my yoga poses.

the first pose is called “frog legs” - you can tell my back legs are open and they look like real frog legs. it’s not only my face that looks like a frog, but also my legs look like a frog! by the way, you should wear a comfortable dog jacket when you do yoga. i have my warm fleece jacket on so i can get the same effect as being in a hot yoga class. ah, I’m so smart!

the second pose is called “kabuki eyes” - this is how you train your muscles around your eyes. look how round and big my eyes are? this works to keep wrinkles away! my mom thinks this is my lazy pose because i follow her just with my eyes and don’t even raise my head. she doesn’t understand my yoga!

the third pose is meditation. just close your eyes and try not to think about anything and focus on breezing. my nose sometimes make cute noises, but you shouldn’t laugh when you are meditating. i usually fall asleep after this yoga pose. i highly recommend a nice nap after my yoga class!

最近ヨガって本当に人気あるなもー。ニューヨークでは犬のヨガ教室まであるらしいんだに。でもぼくは教室に通わんでも、自己流ヨガができるもんね！じゃー、ちょっとチュウブ流ヨガポーズを紹介するなも。

最初のポーズは「かえる足」っていうポーズだに。ぼくの後ろ足がかえるみたいに開いとるだらー？ぼくは顔がかえる顔なだけじゃなくて、足までかえる足なんだに！ちなみにヨガをするときは、やわらかい犬ジャケットを着用するのがいいんだに。ぼくはあったかいフリースジャケットを着とるよ。だってこうすればホットヨガ効果もあるかもしれんからね！チュウブってあったまいいねー。

二番目のポーズは「歌舞伎の目」だに。こうやって目のまわりの筋肉を鍛えるんだに。ぼくの目、大きくてまんまるで、歌舞伎の見得みたいだらー？このポーズで目のまわりのしわをふせぐんだに！アヤコはぼくが顔もあげずに目だけでアヤコのことを見ると、なまけものだがねーって言うけど、これはれっきとしたエクササイズなんだに。わかっとらんねー。

三番目のポーズは「瞑想」だがねー。目を閉じて何にも考えんようにして、ひたすら呼吸に集中するんだに。ぼくの鼻はときどきブヒブヒ鳴るんだけど、そこで笑っちゃーいかんのだに。瞑想のあとはいっつも気づくと眠ってまうんだよねー。ぼくのヨガ教室ではヨガのあとのお昼寝は必須なんだに！

happy halloween! did anyone wear costume and parade? i went to a parade in brooklyn in my pirate costume. ahoy!! i pulled it off pretty well, don't you think? i love wearing a costume. everyone loved it and so many people took photos of me. as you know, i'm already a professional model, i can work it very well.

i love hearing people say "ahhh, look at the pirate french bull!" i heard that so many times today. my only complaint of the day is that i didn't get any dog treats even though i was one of the best dressed. why no one has dog treats in their treats bowls? next year, maybe i should wear a sign saying "trick and dog treats!!"

ハッピーハロウィーン！みんな仮装してパレードに参加したのかなも？もちろんぼくばブルックリンで仮装パレードに参加したがね！ぼくの仮装は海賊だったんだに。えっへん！でーら似合っとると思わんー？ぼくは仮装するのがけっこう好きなんだに。みんなぼくの仮装がでら気に入ったみたいで、写真とらせてちょーっていっぱい来とったね。知っての通り、ぼくはもうプロのモデルだで、写真のモデルなんてお手のものなんだに。

みんなが「きゃー、海賊フレンチブルドッグだがね！かわいいがね！！」って言ってくれると気分がいいなもー。でも、不満がひとつあったんだに。ぼくは我ながら仮装コンテスト犬部門では１位だなもって自信があったのに、だーれもおやつをくれんかったんだに。みんな人間用のおやつばっかりだったね。なんだー！来年は「いたずらするから犬のおやつちょーだい！」っていう旗でも作って歩かないかんね。

animal blessing お祓い体験

there are many churches in my neighborhood and they have an animal blessing day every year. my parents saw a pet turtle friend at the blessing once. i was looking forward to debut at the blessing! i put on my cool japanese festival shirt and walked to the church around the corner.

there were so many dog friends and cat friends. i didn't see any turtle friend, though. everyone seemed to like my shirt! the church people had very cool clothes on as well and they had some interesting device. finally my turn came, and the priest prayed for my health and happiness. so nice! so, i prayed to get more food and treats in my mind...

and tada! there were so many doggie treats in the back room! i prayed 5 seconds ago and it worked!! there was no treats for human friends because i forgot to pray for them... oh no!

うちの近所には教会がいっぱいあるんだに。一年に１回、教会ではペットのためのお祓いデーがあるんだに。アーロンとアヤコは、その教会の前を通りかかったとき、亀友がお祓いしてもらっとるのを見たことあるらしいよ。すごいだらー？だからぼくもお祓いしてもらうのを楽しみにしとったんだに。日本で買ったかっちょいい法被を着て、いざ、お祓いしてもらうんだがね！

教会の前には犬友やらネコ友がでーらいっぱいおったねー。でも亀友には会わんかった。残念だなも。みんなぼくの法被が気に入ったみたいだったに。教会の牧師さんたちもかっちょいい服着とったねー。やっとぼくの番が着て、牧師さんがぼくが健康で幸せでありますようにってお祈りしてくれたんだに。お祓いっていい気分だなも。ぼくは心の中で、「もっとごはんの量が増えますように。もっとおやつがもらえますように」ってお祈りしたんだに。

そしたらじゃじゃーん！教会の中には犬用のおやつがでーらいっぱい用意してあったんだに！すごいがねー、５秒前にお祈りしたばっかなのに、もうお祈りの効き目があったがね！でも人間友のおやつはなかったなも、、、。ぼくがお祈りするの忘れてまったからなのかなも。次は忘れんようにしんといかんね！

at the apple picking, i met another frog face friend. he was 2 years old, too. we ate apples together. i can be friends with any frog face very quickly. endless apples definitely helps, too.

i ate so many apples and i got so much gas. that was a big problem in our car on the way back home. you know, everyone was opening the window every time when i farted. it feels so good to fart. apple eating and farting... the best day in this fall!

リンゴ狩りで、ぼくは１匹のかえる顔友達と出会ったんだに。同じ２歳ってことですぐに意気投合したがねー。りんごも一緒に食べたに。かえる顔同士と友達になるのは早いよーん。食べ物がたくさんあると友達つくるのもさらに簡単だなも。

あの日はりんごをでーら食べ過ぎて、帰りの車の中では大変なことになったに。ぼくのおなら攻撃はすごいでねー。車は密室だで、おならすると大変みたいなんだに。みんなぼくがおならするたびに窓開けとったね。おならするのって本当に気持ちいいんだがねー。りんごとおなら、秋は最高なんだなも！

i went to apple picking the other day with my parents and their friends. my dad found a very nice orchard that is very frog face friendly. it was like a dream... look at all the apples on the trees! i can eat them all!! so i couldn't help smiling all day long.

ah, what a wonderful place! there are endless amount of apples on the ground. i ate SO much and that caused some issues on the way back.... to be continued!

do you know what i'm sniffing? me! this is one of the russian nesting dolls that my dad painted. so cool! there were 12 of them, and i'm the 3rd largest one. i'm not the largest one because i'm humble, you know.

when i stretch behind the nesting doll, i can hide my face completely! i don't think anyone can find me. i think my dad should make those dolls more and place them everywhere so i can always win when i play hide and seek. just thinking of playing hide and seek makes me drool!

ぼくが何のにおい嗅いどるかわかるひとー？これはねー、アーロンが作ったマトリョーシカなんだに。かわいいだらー？このマトリョーシカは１２個セットで、ぼくは大きい方から３番目なんだに。なんで１番大きいのじゃないかっていうと、ぼくはこう見えても謙虚だからなんだに。

ほれ、このマトリョーシカのうしろでストレッチしたら、ぼくの顔が完全に隠れとるがねー。ってことはだれにもぼくの顔が見えんってことだね。アーロンに頼んでもっとたくさんチュウブマトリョーシカ作ってもらおうかなー。そしたらかくれんぼしてもぼくがいっつも勝つんだに。あー、かくれんぼのこと考えるだけでヨダレがでてまう！

ahhhhh, hot. it's finally real summer here! as i told you at the last post, i wear icy collar. but i have to drink water, too! so my mom carries my special water bottle always.

this water bottle is from muji. i don't know what this is really for, but i thought this is perfect for me to drink water. i learned how to drink out of this bottle really quickly. so smart! i think i can call this one of my tricks!

ああああーーー、あっついなもー。ニューヨークにもやーっと本物の夏が来たみたいだなも。この前書いたけど、夏の散歩には氷入り首輪が欠かせんねー。でもやっぱりお水も飲まんといかんがね！というわけでアヤコはいっつもぼくのためにお水を持ち歩いとるんだに。

このボトルは無印で買ったんだに。本当は何のためのものかはよくわからんけど、ぼくのお水用にぴったりなんでないのーと思って試してみたらちょうどよかったんだに。ぼく、このボトルからお水飲むのはすぐ覚えてまったんだに。さーすが、賢いなも！これもぼくの芸って言えるんでないの？

icy collar つめてゃー首輪

i love summer, but my body doesn't handle the heat so well. it's not only me, all frog faced friends have to be careful with the summer heat. even if the human friends don't feel that hot, we get hot easily because we are closer to the ground. so, i got this very nice collar that can hold ice cubes. by the time i finish my walk, all the ice melts and my chest gets wet and that helps me to stay cooler. don't you think i'm a good shopper?

ぼくは夏がすきだけど、暑さにはけっこう弱いんだに。暑さに弱いのはぼくだけじゃなくて、かえる顔の友達はみーんなそうなんだに。だからぼくたちは夏の散歩のときは気をつけないかんのだよねー。もし人間があんまり暑くにゃーんでないの？って思うときでも、ぼくたちは地面に近いで、すーぐ暑くなってまうんだに。だからぼくはこのアイディア商品を手に入れたんだに。この赤い首輪はねー、中に氷を入れられるようになっとって、散歩しとるとどんどん氷が溶けてぼくの身体をぬらしてくれるんだに。ぼくの毛がぬれとるの見えるだらー？胸のあたりをぬらすのがポイントなんだに。ああ、ぼくって買い物上手だなもー。そう思わん？

napping friend 1 昼寝友達　その１

from the first photo, can you tell what i'm doing? the answer is... napping with my squirrel friend! oh, this squirrel friend is my toy, by the way. i normally bite him and shake him and play him so hard... i thought i would be nice to have some quality time with him today. i often stretch one back leg when take a nap. my mom always tickle my paw whenever she sees my legs stretched. this time, she wasn't home. so i was able to take a nap peacefully.

ah, my dad is taking so many photos of me napping... if i find better photos, i'll post them tomorrow!

最初の写真を見て、ぼくが何しとるかわかるひとー？答えはねー、リス友と昼寝しとるんだに。このリス友はぬいぐるみで、いつもは振り回して噛み付いて遊んどるんだけど、たまには穏やかな時間を一緒に過ごそうと思って昼寝することにしたんだに。ぼくは昼寝するとき、よく後ろ足を１本だけのばして寝たりするんだけど、そうするといっつもアヤコがそーっと近づいてきてぼくの肉球をくすぐるんだに。今日はアヤコがおらんかったで、ぼくは平和にお昼寝できたんだに。

あー、アーロンがでらいっぱい写真とっとるみたいだねー。もっといい写真見つけたら、明日また載せるでね！

one of the best things happened in montreal was that i got drunk! i got drunk of the excitement. i was so happy to take vacation with my parents and that made me drunk. woohoo!

my hotel room モントリオールのホテル

in montreal, i stayed at a very nice hotel. very high ceiling, big window, and most importantly, very nice carpet! i love carpeted floor because i can run faster and jump higher. one of my favorite things to do is to sit in front of the window. the warm sunlight is coming in and it feels so nice. i asked my dad to take photos of me because the curtain created very dramatic stage for photoshoot. don't you think i look even more handsome?

i also want to show the hallway of the hotel. i learn which room is mine very quickly. every time we get off the elevator, i ran as fast as i could to my room. i think all the hotel room doors should have doggie doors. good idea! i should copy-write it now.

モントリオールではでーらいい感じのホテルに泊まったんだに。天井はでら高かったし、窓はでらでかかったし、一番よかったのはじゅうたんだねー。じゅうたん大好き。だからホテルに泊まるのはいいんだなもー。いつもより早く走れるし、ジャンプだってずっと高く飛べるんだに。出窓に座ってうしろからあったかい日差しを浴びとるといい気分になるなもー。カーテンのおかげで出窓がかっちょいいステージみたいだったで、アーロンに写真撮ってーって頼んだんだに。うーん、かっちょいいがねー！

それから、このホテルは廊下もすてきだったんだに。ぼく、自分がどこの部屋に泊まっとるかすぐ覚えてまうんだに。だからエレベーターからおりるといっつも全速力で走って部屋まで戻った。ホテルのドアにも犬用のドアが付いとればいいのにー。あ、これはいいアイディアだがね！実用新案に応募しないかん！

bon jour montreal! the first day, i did all the touristy things there with my parents. walking around town was very fun. i like walking like i know where i'm going even though this was my first time there, so i pulled my parents so much. but in my mind, i was guiding them.

oh! what is that huge building? that is basilique dotre-dame. oops i'm showing off my french frog language speaking! i thought there would be more dog friends there, but i was the only one. i don't know why! i think notre-dame can house so many frog face friends.

ボンジュール、モントリオール！旅の初日はやっぱり観光地を巡らなー。ということで観光客らしく街を散策したんだに。ぼくはどこ行っても自分が一番先頭で歩かんと気がすまんのだに。初めて行くところでも同じだに。だからアーロンとアヤコを思い切り引っ張って歩き回ったんだに。でもぼくとしては案内してあげたって感じなんだなも。

おっと、あのでっかい建物はなんだー？あれはノートルダム寺院だがねー。きれいだがねーー。でももっとこのへんには犬友がおるとおもったけど、犬はぼくだけだったなも。ノートルダムはでっかいから、カエル顔の犬友がでらいっぱい入れると思うんだなも。

driving to montreal モントリオールへの旅

woohoo! i'm in a car driving to montreal, canada! this is my first trip to another country, woohoo! did you know that i'm half canadian? oh, don't forget that i'm a french bulldog! the first language in montreal is french. so i will be even more popular there for sure. ah, i can't wait to get there.

when i'm feeling the breeze from the car window, i feel like i was born to be wild. i love being in a car. of course i wear my seat belt on, i lay down on my mom's lap, so i'm a safety driver.

the driving was very smooth. only problem we had was that it took about 1 hour and a half to go through the border control, but i slept through it. i had my passport and health documents and i was good to go. bon jour montreal!! i will report my trip to montreal through a few posts on this blog. to be continued!

イェーーイ！ぼく、今からカナダのモントリオールに行くんだにーー！初の海外旅行だがね！やっほーーう！みんな、ぼくが半分カナダ人だって知っとった？おっと、しかもぼくはフレンチブルドッグだからねー。モントリオールはフランス系の人が多くて、言葉もフランス語が主なんだに。ぼくなんかモントリオールではもっと人気者になるに違いないに！あー、早く着かんかねー。

車の窓から風邪を感じとると、なんかワイルドな感じがするがねー。ドライブはいいなもー。もちろんシートベルトもするし、あやこのひざの上で寝転がっとるから安全なんだに。セーフティードライバーってやつだなも。

モントリオールへのドライブは長かったけどスムーズだったねー。でも国境での入国検査が混んどってでーら待たされたんだに。でもぼくはずーっとぐーぐー寝とったからいいけどね。でもカナダに入るための書類とかぜーんぶ準備万端だったでカンペキだったに。ボンジュール、モントリオール！これからちょっとずつぼくの旅のレポートするでね。楽しみにしとってね！

basset friend バセットハウンド友

my uncle earl welcomed a new basset hound, rosey. last saturday for father's day, i went to see her for the first time. look at her loooong ears! i wish my ears were that long. i think she can even fly with the big ears. we are about the same height, but she was much longer than me.

so, i tried to show that i'm the boss in my family... i jumped on her to show my power, but she didn't really care. i think she knows how to enjoy her life. we played really hard. we almost knocked down a table. we are very strong combination.

we became such good friends! look, we waited for our treats very politely. i think she is a very nice lady. i hope to see her again soon and we can play even harder!

ぼくのアールおじさんの家に、新しいバセットハウンドがやってきたんだに。名前はローズィー！エレガントな名前だがねー。先週の土曜日、父の日ディナーのためにおでかけして、初めてローズィーに会ってきたんだに。ローズィーのながーーーーい耳、見てみやー！でーら長いがね！ぼくもあんなに長い耳がほしいなも。なんか空でも飛べそうな感じでないのー。ぼくたちはだいたい同じくらいの背の高さなんだけど、ローズィーの身体はぼくよりずーっと長かったなも。

もちろん初対面だで、ぼくの方が強いんだに！ってことを示すための行動に出たんだに。でもローズィーはあんまり気にもとめんかったみたいだなも。きっとローズィーは人生を楽しむ術を知っとるんだねー。ぼくたちはそのあと、でら仲良くなって激しく遊んだ。走り回ってテーブル倒しそうになったくらいだに。ぼくたち二匹ならなんだってできそうなくらい強いんだに。

あー、でらいい友達ができてうれしいなもー。ほれ、ぼくたちお行儀よく一緒におやつももらったんだに。ローズィーはレディなんだなも。またすぐに会って一緒に遊ばないかんなも！

i see something おばけ？

last night, i went to the bedroom by myself because i thought i heard some sound. what is it? i i went on the stairs and tried to see if there was anything out of the window... i see some shadows! what is it? who is it?? so i went "grrrrrrrrr." some humans think that dogs make that noise to give warning, but it is actually because they want their human family to come near us. we need some support when we are scared! so "grrrrrr" means "i'm a bit scared, please come help me" in the frog face language. ah, life is all about learning new things, right?

oh, you want to know what i thought i saw in the bedroom? my mom said that i just saw the shadow of her walking towards the bedroom. but i don't believe her... i think it was a frog face ghost! scared!

昨日の夜、ベッドの部屋でなんか物音が聞こえたような気がして、ひとりでベッドの部屋に行ってみたんだに。なんだー？窓の外になんかおるのかなーと思って、新しい階段に上って見てみたんだに。なんか影が見えるがね！なんだーー？だれかおるの？？だからうううーーーーってうなってみた。人間は犬がううーって言うとき、「噛んでまうよ！」っていう警告と思っとるみたいだけど、実は違うに。あれはねー、「ちょっと怖いがねー。こっちきて一緒におってほしいんだけどー」っていう意味なんだに！少なくともぼくの知っとるかえる顔語ではそういう意味なんだなも。あー、今日もまたひとつ新しいことを学んだなも。人生って学びなんだなも。そうだらー？

あ、ベッドの部屋で見たのがなんだったか知りてゃー？アヤコは自分の影だったって言っとったけど、アヤコの言うことなんて信じんもんね。あれはたぶんかえる顔のおばけだったんだに。こわいー！

my new furniture 新しい家具

tada! my parents bought me a new furniture for me - stairs, yaay! now i can get on the bed by myself any time i want. see, i can get my bone on the bed without help. i had to learn what it was for at first, and also it took some practice. now i'm a professional! i just go up and down at night when everyone is sleeping. i love it.

because i'm so smart, i created a new usage of the stairs already. it is to make an illusion of me standing when you see me from the front, but i'm actually sitting. the soft padding feels so nice on my butt. i sometimes sit on the stairs and think about my life. i love my new furniture! (i want to show it off to my parents friend, oliteens.)

じゃじゃーん！アヤコとアーロンがぼくに新しい家具を買ってくれたんだに。それはねー、階段！これでベッドにいつでも勝手に上ったりおりたりできるんだに。ほら、ベッドの上のおもちゃだって自分で上ってってとれるんだもんねー。最初は階段の使い方もわからんかったし、ちょっと上り下りの練習もしないかんかったけど、もう今はすっかり上手になったでねー。夜、みんな寝とるときにだって上ったりおりたりしとるよ。あー、なんて素敵な家具なんだなも。

ぼくは賢いから、この階段の新しい使い方までもう発明したんだに。それはねー、前から見るとぼくは立っとるみたいに見えるけど、実は座っとるっていう技なんだに。階段にはやわらかーいパッドがしいてあるから、座っとるとおしりにも気持ちいいがねー。だからときどき階段にのぼって、途中で座って人生について考えるんだに。ああ、なんてすばらしい家具！

the professionals 昼寝職人

my mom and i are professional sleepers. we are so good at sleeping. every weekend, we take a nap in the afternoon together. this is how we sleep together.

my mom is holding a big pillow on the couch and i sleep upside down in between my mom and the back of the couch. look at my mom's face! she looks like she is having a nightmare. she said that i was too heavy on her. she is so funny! i'm only 24 pounds!! ahhh, i slept SO well. i love napping.

アヤコとぼくは眠りに関しちゃーちょっとしたプロなんだに。ぼくたちは寝るのがでら得意で、昼寝職人なんだがね。毎週末、午後になるとふたりで一緒にお昼寝するんだに。今日はそのお昼寝職人の仕事っぷりをレポートするんだに。

アヤコはまくらを抱きかかえてソファに横になる。ぼくはひっくり返ってアヤコとソファの背もたれの間で寝る。ぼくの体重はまあほぼアヤコのおなかの上だに。アヤコの顔見てみやー！なんか苦しそうな顔しとるねー。変な夢でも見とったのかと思ったら、ぼくが重すぎたんだって。まー冗談がうまいんだからー！ぼくなんかまだ１２キロくらいしかないんだで、重いわけないがね！あー、よく寝たなも。昼寝は最高だなもー。

finally finally finally, the summer arrived in ny. we had such a long winter, so i'm so happy that it is warm now and i don't have to wear my winter jacket. but now it is sometimes too hot for me to walk around outside. life is so hard! so, this is what i do to feel the season of love without being overheated outside.

i sit in front of the window and look outside. there are a lot of trees right there. i can also watch some doggie friends walking down the street. when i'm sitting at the window, i feel like i became juliet from romeo and juliet. well, i'm a boy, so technically, i feel like i became romeo. i wonder what it feels like to be in love..... does it feel the same as my love for beef treats?

やっとやっとやーっとニューヨークにも夏が来たがねー。ああ、この冬はでーら長かったなも。やっとあったかくなって、もう散歩のときコートも着んでいいね。でも春が短きゃーから、冬が終わったと思ったらすぐ夏で、夏はぼくはちょっと苦手なんだに。暑さに弱いからねー。人生ってなかなか大変だに。でもぼくだって外に出んでもちゃーんと恋の季節を感じとるんだに。

窓際によじ上って外を見ると、そこには木がいっぱいでいい感じだがねー。窓の外では近所の犬友が散歩しとるのが見えるね。窓から外を眺めとると、ロミオとジュリエットのジュリエットになったような気がするがねー。あ、ぼくは男の子だから厳密にはロミオになったような気分なんだに。恋に落ちるってどんな感じなんだろうねー。それってぼくが牛肉のおやつのこと考えとるときみたいな気持ちなのかなも？

tada! i'm showing off my rain jacket today. spring has a lot of rainy day, so i need a cute rain jacket to brighten the rainy days. my rain jacket is yellow! it stands out and it looks so good on my brindle body. this rain jacket is made like a trench coat and i wear it with the collar stand. how preppy and cool is that!

another thing about i love about my rain jacket is that it matches my mom's rain jacket. you can see the love! a lot of people say we look adorable together and i agree! i recommend everyone gets a cute rain jacket. it will make rainy day happier!

じゃじゃーん！今日はぼくのレインコートの自慢してまうでねー！春は雨の日が多いで、レインコートは必需品だに。かーわいいレインコートは雨の日も楽しい気分にしてくれるなも。ぼくのレインコートは黄色のかわいいやつだに。目立つし、ぼくのブリンドルの身体にでーら似合うと思わん？このレインコートはトレンチコートみたいなデザインで、ぼくなんか襟をたてて着こなしてまうんだに！プレッピーでかっちょいいがねー。

しかも、このコートのいいところはアヤコのレインコートとお揃いってことだに。愛を感じるなもー。みんな僕たちでらお似合いでかわいいって言ってくれるんだに。やっぱりそう思うだらー？みんなも明るい色のレインコートはおすすめだに。雨の日もハッピーな気分になるでねー！

as you all know by now, i am such a photogenic boy. on mother's day, i met lenni at a small town in between philly and ny. it was a beautiful day, and we did a photoshoot.

why do you say "cheese" when you take photos? i will smile more if i know that i'm getting a real cheese. but i made a huge smile because i was so happy to see lenni. he is my best friend!

it's been a while since i last posted my diary. sorry! i was a bit busy. meanwhile, i had another unexpected encounter with a white mouse at a pet store. look how small he is! and his eyes are so red!! so strange! but he is kind of cute...

at first, he wasn't so interested in me, but once we made an eye contact, he just couldn't take his eyes off of me. i guess my frog face was so attractive for him! oh, what is that? his snack? hmmm, i want to have a bite...

最初そのネズミ友はあんまりぼくに興味なしっていう感じだったけど、目が合ったらもう僕のものだに。ネズミ友はぼくから目が離せんくなったみたいだに。やっぱりぼくのかえる顔がよっぽど魅力的だったんだらー。おっと、ところであれはなんだー？ネズミ友のおやつ？けっこうおいしそうだがねー。ちょっと一口食べてみたいもんだなも！

working hard 働き者

i started my career recently. what kind of career? it's a secret! i'll write about it in a few month... so please come back to my blog often (what a great marketing strategy!). anyway, i went to work the other day with my parents. it was such a nice spring day. warm enough to be naked, i mean no jacket, and so sunny. it was very motivating! so i worked very very hard.

because of my work load, i didn't have any nap. napping is a very important part of my life! so i was getting so sleepy... i kept yarning and yarning. finally my mom held me and i fell asleep. it feels so nice to take a nap in her arms, but she always tells me how heavy i was. i'm only 24 pounds!

ぼくは最近仕事を始めたんだに。どんな仕事だと思うー？それはまだ秘密なんだに！あと何ヶ月かしたらちゃんと報告するでねー。それまでちょくちょくぼくのブログ見に来てなも。（なんてうまいマーケティングなんだー。ぼくってすごい！）とにかく、この間ぼくはアーロンとアヤコと一緒に仕事に行ったんだに。すてきな春の日で、あったかくてコートもいらんかったし、日差しはぽかぽかしとって最高の天気だったね。よっしゃー、がんばって働かないかんがね！っていう気になったがね。

その日はでーら忙しくて、昼寝する時間もなかったんだに。フレンチブルドッグにとって昼寝はでーら大事なのにねー。でら眠くてあくびばっかりしとったら、ついにアヤコがだっこしてくれたもんでやっと寝れたんだに。アヤコはだっこが上手だで昼寝も気持ちよーくできるんだに。でもいっつもアヤコはぼくが重いって言う。たった１２キロくらいしかないのに、失礼だなも！

do you wonder where i am sleeping in? i'm sleeping in a little suitcase. this is my new home! i love sleeping in a suitcase. it's so comfortable and i feel like i can have a nice dream when i take a nap.

ahhh, i wan to go on a trip... i want to go to france to meet my french bulldog families. i also want to go to japan to meet my other grand parents. both places are a bit far, but i'll be a good boy in my suitcase! i don't think anyone will find me at airport security as long as i try not to sneeze or snore. mom, dad, let's go somewhere... i'll pack my treats and food!

central park セントラルパーク

my first central park experience was so nice. we had picnic there. i sat next to my parents and stare at them eat their lunch hoping to get some cheeze and sushi from them.

it was a very nice sunny day. i love being in the sun! there are so many birds and human friends to look at, so i had to turn on my wild face button. look how focused i am! i was so excited and pulling my mom so much, so she said "if you pull so much, no treats today!" that's why i look like the 3rd photo.

セントラルパーク初体験はでーら楽しかったねー。ピクニックしたんだに。ぼくはアーロンとアヤコのとなりに座って、ふたりがお昼ごはんを食べるのをじーーーっとみとった。もしかしてチーズとかお寿司とか、一口もらえるかもしれんと思ったんだに。

でーらいい天気でよかったなもー。お日様さんさんでいい気持ちだったなもー。小鳥がいっぱいおったし、人間もいーっぱいおって、観察するのに忙しくなったもんで、ついついぼくは真剣な顔になってまったんだに。でら興奮して早く歩きたくてアヤコをずーっとひっぱっとったから、ついにアヤコが怒って「そんなにひっぱるなら今日はおやつなしね！」って言われてまったんだに。ええええーーー、って思った顔しとるのが、今日の３枚目の写真だがね！

at time warner center タイムワーナーセンター

i went to central park the other day for the first time. i was dreaming of going there, so i was very happy. before going to the park, we stopped at whole foods at time warner center to get picnic lunch like real new yorkers. picnic lunch! What a nice thing. i love eating snack outside.

outside time warner center, i was waiting for my dad to get me cookies at whole foods. it was a very nice sunny day and there were so many people walking around. I met some very nice people who understand my frog language.

ahhhh, i'm getting sleepy again in the warm sunlight. i might take a nap on my mom's lap until i get the cookies...

この間セントラルパークに初めて行ってきたがねー。夢にまでみたセントラルパーク！もちろん公園に入る前にタイムワーナーセンターにあるホールフーズっていうスーパーでピクニック用の食べ物を調達するのが本当のニューヨーカーってもんだに。ピクニックってなんて素敵なんだろうなもー。外でごはんを食べるとおいしいでねー。

ぼくはアーロンがホールフーズでクッキーを買ってきてくれるのを外で待っとった。お日様さんさんいい天気だったで、でーらいっぱい人がおったね。かえる顔好きな人たちもけっこうおったみたいで、ぼくは一躍人気者だったに。

あー、あったかいからまた眠くなってきたがねー。アヤコの膝の上でちょっと昼寝でもしようかなも。早くクッキーこんかなー。

brindle thunder ブリンドルの稲妻

i went to a large dog run with my parents and dai-chan. as soon as my mom took my leash out, i ran as fast as i could to say hi to everyone. my another intention was to get some attention from other dogs and make them want to chase me. i love bigger doggies chansing me.

so i pick up a nice long stick and started running around. one of the labs noticed and started chasing me and that made me so happy. yaaay! look how flexible my body is! i didn't let that doggie take my stick. i protected it so hard. you can tell from my serious eyes! i am a brindle thunder!

ブルックリンにあるでーらでっかいドッグランに行ってきた。大ちゃんとアーロンとアヤコと一緒だに。ドッグランに入るなり、ものすごい速さでダッシュした。ぼくの足は速いよーん。速く走ればほかの犬もぼくに注目して、ぼくのこと追いかけてくれるかもしれんからね。ぼくよりでっかい犬友に追いかけられるのってたまらんがねー。

ちょうどいい長さの小枝をくわえてさらにぐるぐる走るのだ！リトリバーがぼくに気づいて追いかけてきたに。ううーん、しあわせー。ぼくの身体、でーら柔軟だがね！ぼくの小枝はだれにもあげんよ。ぼくの必死な目を見たらわかるだらー？ぼくはブリンドルの稲妻だに！

a year in brooklyn ブルックリン１周年記念

a year ago, i moved to brooklyn to be part of my parents' family. today's first photo is my very first photo as "chubu." my mom took this photo when she picked me up in ohio. that was my first trip on an airplane. my dad pick us up at newark airport with the sign with my new name on it. chubu... i can't imagine me having any other name now.

my mom used to wake up at 5am to let me go pee outside. and i used to poop at home. i pooped out a long red thread from my doggie bed once. ahhhh, it feels like such a long time ago. i am a big boy now! brooklyn is mine!

１年前、ぼくはアヤコとアーロンの家族に仲間入りするためにブルックリンに引越してきた。今日の最初の写真は、ぼくがチュウブっていう名前になって初めての写真なんだに。アヤコがオハイオまで迎えにきてくれたとき、空港でとった写真なんだにー。飛行機もそのとき初めてのったがね。アーロンが車でニューアーク空港まで迎えにきてくれとったね。しかも「チュウブ」ってぼくの新しい名前のカードまで持ってきとった。チュウブ、、、いい名前だがねー！ほかの名前になるなんてもう想像もできんね。

アヤコはぼくをおしっこに連れてくために、毎朝５時に起きてくれたねー。ぼくは家の中でウンチしてまったりもしたに。ベッドの刺繍を食べてまって、真っ赤なながーい糸をウンチと一緒に出してまったこともあったなも。ああ、でら昔のことみたいな感じがするねー。もうぼくは大人なんだに！ブルックリンはぼくのものー！

my speech スピーチ

when i was looking at east river from the promenade, i felt like i had to make a speech. so i stood up and started my speech.

i have a dream! i dream of my day with continuous eating. snack, fruit, meat, fish, vegetable... i want all the dogs in the world can share the treats. i want to share the happiness of having a lot of water and treats after running like crazy in a dog run. i want to express my snoring skill during my napping after the dog run. this is every dog's dream - or every french bulldog's dream!

now i take any question about my speech.

ブルックリンハイツの遊歩道からイーストリバーを眺めとったら、どうしてもスピーチしたい気分になってきたんだに。だからぼくはこの広い世界に向かって語りかけたんだに。

ぼくには夢がある！ぼくの夢見る一日はたえまなくおやつやお肉や果物やお魚を食べさせてもらうことだがねー。そして世界中の犬友とそのおやつを分け合いたい。ドッグランで走り回ったあとのおやつがどれくらいおいしいか、犬友と共有したいんだに。そしてこの気持ちをでかいいびきで表現したいんだなも。これはすべての犬友の願いなんだに、、、少なくともフレンチブルドッグはぼくの気持ちわかってくれるはずだに！

work it, chubu, work it! today's pictures are from my favorite chair. whenever i'm on this chair, i feel like i became a model french bulldog. with my mom's singing "chubu song" that she created, photoshoot feels even better.

the first 2 shots show my talent as a model! my eyes are cute and irresistible, and my body looks very dynamic! the second shot is so sexy!! but when the third shot was taken, i was looking at the treat on the coffee table. so that is more private shot of me - a big bonus from an insider!

いいねー、かわいいねーチュウブーーー！今日の写真はぼくのお気に入りのイスでとったやつだに。このイスに座っとるとモデルみたいないーい気分になってくるんだよねー。とくにアヤコが（自作の名曲）「チュウブのうた」を歌っとると、ますますプロのモデルっぽいんでないのー？うーんいい気分だなも。

最初の２枚はぼくがいかにモデルの素質があるかっていう写真だに。目はうるうるでかわいくてたまらーんって感じだし、ポーズもダイナミックだらー？とくに２枚目の写真なんてでーらセクシーだがね！でも３枚目は油断しとるときに撮られたに。テーブルの上に食べ物が置いてあって、それをじーっと見つめとったときに撮られた写真なんだに。素のぼくが見られる貴重な一枚ってとこだなも！うーんセレブヒ！

french cafe おフランス風カフェ

happy saturday! i went to lower east side today with my parents. we visited a friend, then we went to have lunch at a french cafe that has outside seating.

because i am a french bulldog, i can be a very good judge for a french cafe. the one we went today was very good. my parents had very good looking burgers, so i waited for some pieces to come down to my mouth. i wanted to taste real french burger. but instead, i got some milk from cappuccino. it stayed on my nose for a while because it was so hard to reach. i think i kind of look cute with milk foam on my little nose.

ハッピー土曜日！今日はローワーイーストサイドに行ってきたに。アーロンとアヤコの友達の家に行ってから、オープンカフェでお昼を食べたんだに。

ぼくはフレンチブルドッグだから、おフランス風カフェにはちょっとうるさいでねー。今日行ったところはなかなかよかったなも。アーロンとアヤコはでーらおいしそうなハンバーガー食べとったね。だからちょっと一口もらえんかなーと思ってテーブルの下でずっと待っとったんだに。そのかわりに鼻の上にカプチーノの泡をのっけられてまったんだに。ちょっと上の方すぎて、なかなか届かんかったね。でも鼻の上に泡がついとるぼくって、ちょっとかわいいがねー！

sleep over! お泊まり会！

i had a sleep over the other day at grandparents' house. i love sleep over! i played and played so much with lenni. i have a little basket that my dad bought in japan to carry all my sleep over items. so whenever i see my dad packing the basket, i get so excited. i was so happy to see lenni, i decided to sleep next to him at night. that means i didn't sleep next to my dad. don't be sad, dad! you didn't have to hear me snore so much that night. i tend to snore when i get really tired.

lenni and i played so hard, and i think my whole head was in lenni's mouth a few times. so when i came home, my mom said that my face smells like lenni's food. yum!!!

この間じーちゃんばーちゃん家に泊まりに行ってきたんだに。お泊まり会だがねー！じーちゃんばーちゃん家には大親友のレニーがおるでねー。お泊まり会に行くときはアーロンがいつもぼく専用のバスケットを準備してくれるから、ぼくにはすぐお泊まり会に行くことがわかるんだに。大興奮だがねー。レニーと遊びまくってでーら疲れたね。しかも夜はレニーと一緒に寝たんだに。だからアーロンはその夜ひとりぼっちだったに。でも悲しまんでいいよー、あの夜は疲れてすごいいびきだったからなも。疲れるといびきぐーぐーかいてまうんだよねー。

レニーとぼくはでーら激しく遊んだ。ぼくの頭がまるごと入ってまうくらいレニーの口は大きく開くんだに。家に着いたときアヤコが、ぼくの顔レニーのごはんみたいなにおいがするーって言っとった。うううーん、おいしそうだがね！

the other day, i had a play date with betty. betty is a havanese girl and she is so cute! she can run really fast, so i love playing with her.

even though she weighs only 1/3 of me, she has power. we played tag of war with a stick, and she was pulling so hard. i let her take it because i am a gentleman! but i really wanted to have that stick... so when we stopped playing with that stick, i stole it. i just wanted to taste it so much. and i also wanted to her to chase me. i love being chased, especially by a cute girl like betty!

この間、ひさしぶりにベティと遊んだんだに。ベティはアーロンのおじさん家のハバネーズで、ちっちゃくてかわいいんだなも。でも走るのはでら速いよーん。

ベティはぼくの体重の３分の１くらいしかないんだけど、けっこう力持ちなんだに。木の枝使って綱引き勝負したんだけど、見た目よりずっと強かったなも。でもぼくは紳士だからちゃーんとベティに勝たせてあげたんだに。でもどうしてもその枝がほしくて、ベティが遊びあきたときにそーっと取り返したんだに。だってどうしてもあの枝を味わってみたかったんだもーん。それにベティに追いかけてほしかったしねー。追いかけられるのだいすき。とくにベティみたいにかわいい女の子に追いかけられるのは最高だなも！

when i went to west village on valentine's day, my parents took me to the dog park. it was a triangle-shaped park and there were a lot of little dog friends. i ran and played and ran and played and i got so tired! so i had to have a rest stop.

next to the dog park, there was a little grass field, so i laid down there. both sides of this field was very busy roads, so it really felt like rest stop on highway. that means i am like a fast car, yaaay! i'm getting cooler and cooler. watch out girls!

バレンタインにウエストビレッジに行ったとき、アーロンとアヤコがぼくを犬の公園に連れてってくれたんだに。三角形の公園で、ちっちゃい犬友がいっぱいおったねー。走り回ってしっかり遊んだからでーら疲れたがねー。だからちょっと休憩することにしたんだに。

犬の公園のとなりには、ちっちゃい芝生の広場があったで、そこでごろんと横になった。広場の両脇は交通量の多い道路で、高速道路のサービスエリアみたいだったなも。ってことはぼくは速い車ってこと？イェーイ！でらかっちょいいがねー。おじょうさん、ぼくに惚れたらケガするかもしれんよー、気をつけやー！

valentine's day experience バレンタインデーのこと

today, i want to tell you what i did on valentine's day. on valentine's day in japan, girls give chocolate to boys. in america, boys give chocolate to girls. in my world, anyone can give me treats on valentine's day (or any other day). this year, my dad booked a hotel in west village in ny to stay with me and mom.

that was my first visit to west village. it was such a nice place! i felt like i was in a movie - frenchies and the city. there were a few houses that i really liked, so i tried to wait at the stoop so i can go inside, but that attempt wasn't successful. then we did a little photoshoot in front of the hotel. i think i look so cool in west village!

今日はこの間のバレンタインデーの話を書くんだに。日本ではバレンタインには女の子から男の子へチョコをあげるんだよねー。アメリカではその逆なんだに。でもぼくの世界では、バレンタインだけじゃなくて１年中いつでも誰からでもおやつ大歓迎だでねー。今年はアーロンがアヤコとぼくのためにウエストビレッジにあるホテルを予約してくれたんだに。イェーイ。ホテルに泊まるの大好きだがねー！
ウエストビレッジに行くのは初めてだったけど、いいとこだがねー。映画の主役にでもなったような気分だったに。きれいな家もデラいっぱいあったね。気に入った家の階段の前でじーっと待って誰かが入れてくれんかなーって思ったけど、その作戦は失敗に終わったんだに。そのあとホテルの前で写真撮影した。ぼく、ウエストビレッジにおるっていうだけで、いつもよりかっちょよくみえるんじゃにゃーの？

i heart sweet potato! さつまいもラブ

my mom bought a japanese sweet potato at a grocery store. but the problem is that she bought it for herself, not for me. unbelievable! sweet potato is my favorite!! so, to convince my mom to give me some of her potatoes, i decided to sit next to her and watch her eat.

mmmm, sweet potato smells so good and i can't stop drooling. look, my drooling is happening on both sides of my mouth. after all, my mom gave me a big piece of sweet potato. yum!!! now i have to be careful with my farting.

アヤコがお店で日本のサツマイモを買ってきた。しかし問題は、、、アヤコはそれをぼくのためじゃなくて自分のために買ってきたんだに。ゆるせんがねー！サツマイモはぼくの大好物なのにさー。なんとしてもあのサツマイモを味わうために、ぼくは作戦に出た。アヤコの横にぴったりくっついて座ってじーーーーーーーーっとアヤコがサツマイモを食べとるのを穴があくほど眺めるんだに。

あー、サツマイモっていいにおい。よだれが止まらんがねー！ほれ、ぼくの口の両端からよだれがだらりーん。結局アヤコはぼくに根負けしてサツマイモをぼくにくれたんだに。まーーいーーーーーうーーーーーーーー！！！今日はおならに気をつけないかんねー。

hint of spring ちいさい春

i was being a lazy french bulldog and didn't update my blog for a while. sorry! while i was being lazy, it started feeling a bit like spring. we had such a cold cold winter in ny, so i'm so happy to be outside without my winter jacket.

when i went to a park with my parents, we sat on a bench in the sun. it was so warm and nice... you can find a hint of spring in the air. let's go outside and find more hints of spring!

しばらく更新さぼってまったー。申し訳なかったなもー。しばらくだらだらしとる間に、なんとなく春が近づいてきたような感じがするがねー。この冬はほんっとにでーら寒かったもんね。外に行くときコートを着んでいいのはうれしいなも。

アーロンとアヤコと公園に行ったとき、みんなでベンチに座ってひなたぼっこした。ぽかぽかしていい気分だったなもー。小さい春見つけたって感じだがね。もっと外に出てもっと春を見つけたいなも！

happy bath time お風呂タイムはしあわせ

on a cold day like this, the best thing is to take a bath. it's so warm and nice. my left leg was a bit hurting the other day, but the warm bath heals my little leg. i wish there was a public bath house for french bulldogs in ny. maybe i should open one...

after taking a nice bath, it's washing time. my shampoo is lavender scent one and it smells so good! i also have a conditioning spray that makes my hair so soft. but whenever i'm wet, i go a bit crazy and have to run around the apartment. i love my bath time!

こんな寒い日は、あったきゃーお風呂に入るのが一番だがねー。うーんあったまるなもー。この間、ぼくの左後ろ足がちょっと痛かったんだけど、お風呂に入ったら治ってまったもんね。フレンチブルドッグ用の銭湯がニューヨークにもあればいいのになもー。それともぼくが新しいビジネスとして始めようかなも。

お湯に入ってあったまったあとは体を洗う時間だに。ぼくのシャンプーはラベンダーのにおい。いいにおいー。しかもぼくはちゃんとトリートメントスプレーまで持っとるよ。おっしゃれー。でも体が濡れとるあいだはなぜか家の中を走り回りたくなるんだなも。お風呂は最高だに！

freezing! さっむー！

so cold!! it is so cold every day. my fur got thicker to protect my larbs, and i'm also getting a big chubby. there was only one day that the temperature was above freezing past 2 weeks.

so my parents took me to a dog run today to have some exercise because i haven't run around for a while. i played with a bigger dog there. i got so hot! look at my breath! i love these photos because they look like rocky IV photos!

さっむー！毎日でーら寒いねー。あんまり寒いもんだで、ぼくの毛はふさふさに増えたし、ちょっと脂肪も増えたような気がする名も。この２週間くらい、気温がマイナスじゃなかったのなんて１日しかなかったでねー。ほんっとうに寒いなも。

今日はアーロンとアヤコと一緒にドッグランに行ってきたんだに。最近寒くて運動不足だったでねー。やっぱり寒いで、ドッグランには１匹しか犬友がおらんかったけど、その犬と走り回っていい運動したねー。息が真っ白だがね！なんかロッキー４に出てくるシーンみたいでかっちょいいんだにゃーの！

snowy day! i love snow. i love running on the snow, i love peeing on the snow, and i love eating the snow. it's a bit cold on my little paws, but i'm a strong young boy. my mom wipes my paws after every walk. it's a bit annoying, but there are so much salt on the street in ny, so i have to do it.

after running around on the snow, i need a nice long nap in a very warm room. today, i found a nice spot that is even warmer - on the clothes that are fresh out of the dryer. it feels so good on my belly. i tend to slobber while sleeping, so i might have made some slobber stain on a clean clothes. i have to hide it from my mom...

雪だがねー！雪って楽しいなもー。走りまわるのもいいし、おしっこかけるのも楽しいし、食べても気持ちいいがねー。ちょっと足は冷たくなるけど、でもぼくは強い子だから平気なんだに。アヤコが散歩のたびに足拭いてくれるしねー。ちょっとうっとおしいときもあるけど、でもニューヨークの歩道は雪が降るとみんなが滑らんように塩をいっぱい撒くで、足はきれいにしんといかんのだがね。

雪の日に遊び回ったあとはあったきゃー部屋でお昼寝するのが一番だに。今日はさらにあったかい場所を見つけたに。それは洗って乾燥機にかけたばっかりの洗濯物の上！うーんおなかがあったかくて気持ちいいなもー。寝とるときってよだれたらしてまうんだけど、きれいな洗濯物にもついてまったかもね。アヤコに見つからんように隠さないかんねー。

passenger 地下鉄に乗って

i am a new yorker, so i take subway sometimes. my parents usually carry me in my bag. this bag is so comfortable, so i fall asleep a lot of times. when i'm awake once in a while, i like sticking my face out of the bag and see what's happening on the subway car. one time, when i was with my mom on subway, i sneezed hard to a woman sitting next to us and my mom was so embarrassed. so i'm a bit more careful now.

hmmm, there's no performer on subway today. i was looking forward to seeing some dancer guys or magic guys. maybe next time, i should perform and show off my new tricks!

ぼくはれっきとしたニューヨーカーだから、ときどき地下鉄にも乗るんだに。いつもはアーロンかアヤコがぼくを鞄に入れて運んでくれる。ぼくのかばんはねー、寝心地いいよーん。だからたいていは寝てまうんだけど、たまに起きとるときは鞄から顔出して地下鉄の中を観察するんだに。でも１回アヤコと地下鉄に乗っとるとき、となりに座っとった人に向かって思いっきりくしゃみしてまったことがあるでねー、今はもうちょっと気をつけとるよ。恥ずかしいでねー。

うーん、今日は地下鉄名物のパフォーマーはおらんみたいだね。ダンサーとか手品師とかが来るの、楽しみにしとったんだけどねー。残念だなも。今度はぼくがなにか芸を披露するのもいいんでないのー？新しい芸でおこづかいを稼ぐんだに！

winner? 勝ったような気がする

cats are difficult to figure out. i want to be friends with them, but it's up to them if we can be friends. to make things more difficult for me, they are sometimes nice, and sometimes not very nice.

so when i found a cat in a spot that is like a fish tank, i felt like i won... i don't know what i won, but i won. yay!

猫は難しいだらー。いっつも猫と友達になりてゃーと思うのに、友達になれるかどうかは猫次第なんだに。なんか納得いかんねー。しかも、同じ猫でもときどきちょっとフレンドリーだったり、無視されたりするんだに。猫に翻弄されとるねー。

だから、この間、水槽みたいにガラスで仕切られた場所で猫を見つけたとき、なんとなく、勝った、、、って思ってまったんだに。何を勝ったのか？とにかく勝ったような気がするんだなも！

let's go shopping お買い物に行こう

on the black friday, i went shopping. i love shopping! i love going to pet stores because i can try all the new toys and have a bite of treats that are stored in the bottomr shelf. sometimes i can find very nice, big treats and bones under the cashier's table. but this time, i sat in the shopping cart, so i couldn't reach those big treats on the bottom shelf.

so we went to one of my favorite pet store in pennsylvania. this store has my food... my favorite beef and duck cans. my parents bought 3 dozens of my cans, woohoo!! now i don't have to worry about my breakfast and dinner for a while.

感謝祭の次の日はブラックフライデーって言って、この日からクリスマスに向けて、たくさんのお店でセールが始まるんだに。ぼくもお買い物大好きだがねー。特にペットショップに行くのが好きなんだに。だってお店でいろんなおもちゃを試せるし、下の方の棚にあるおやつをこっそり味見もできるでねー。ときどき、でらでっかい骨とかクッキーとかが下の棚に置いてあったりするんだに。じゅるる。でも今回はぼくはカートの中だったから味見はできんかったけどね。

ペンシルバニアにあるペットショップは、ぼくの大好きなビーフとカモのごはんが売っとるからいいお店なんだに。アーロンとアヤコは３ダースもぼくのごはん缶を買ってくれた。イェーイ！これでしばらくは朝ご飯も晩ご飯も安心だがね！

thanksgiving date 感謝祭デート

it was thanksgiving last week. on the way to my grandparents' house, we stopped at my new girlfriends' place. i have 2 new girlfriends, charo-teen and jo-teen! they are super cute!! i played with them and their dog so much. their backyard was so nice and big, so i ran so much to show off my tight turns.

for our first dates, we had a photoshoot. look how much they love me! i had so much fun with them. i hope to see them again soon.

先週は感謝祭だったんだに。いつもじーちゃんばーちゃんの家に行くんだけど、その途中で友達の友達の家に寄った。そこでぼくは出会ったんだに。新しいガールフレンドだがねー！しかも２人も！イェーイ！でーらかわいいがねー。２人とその家の犬と一緒に激しく遊んだんだに。庭が広くてうらやましいなも。だから思いっきり走り回って、自慢のカーブテクニックを見せてあげたんだに。

初めてのデートってことで、記念撮影もしたでねー。愛を感じるなもー。また近いうちに会いたいもんだなも。

treasure hunting 宝探し

treasures are hidden in unexpected places. maybe it is up to your mind. today, i found a treasure in my neighborhood.

when i was walking around with mom, i smelled something really nice. so i pulled mom very hard to find where the smell was coming from. there i found it, 2 bags of italian breads at the door of an italian restaurant. woo hoo! bread!! look how excited i look. after the photoshoot, i thought i could have a bite of those breads, but my head didn't go through the gate. sad!

宝物っていうのは意外なところに隠れとるもんだに。もしかしたら心の持ちよう次第かもしれんね。というわけで、今日ぼくはうちの近所で宝物を見つけたんだに。

アヤコと散歩しとるとき、どっかからいいにおいがしてきたんだに。アヤコを引っ張ってって、なんとかいいにおいの元を探しにいったんだに。そこで見つけたのは、、、フランスパン２袋！イェーイ！でらでら興奮だがねー！記念写真とったら一口、と思っとったけど、ぼくの頭は大きすぎてゲートを通らんかった。残念。

running to horizon

the other day, i went to see the ny city marathon for the first time. it was a bright chilly day, so i put on my sweater. it was a long walk for me. the marathon must be a little bit longer than the distance that i walked. mom told me that full marathon is 42.195 km. i am about 11 kg, so.... anyway, there were a lot of people watching and cheering for the runners.

my dad told me that he has run the marathon twice. very cool. he wants to do it one more time, so i offered to be a trainer for him. i can run for a few blocks very well, so i think i will be a very good trainer.

watching the marathon was such an uplifting experience. so i tried to ran back home, but there were so many ginkos on the street and i was so destructed. i will have to tell you my story about ginkos soon.

この間、ニューヨークシティマラソンを見に行ってきたがねー。マラソンを生で見るなんて初めてだったで興奮したね。天気はよかったけどでら寒かったなもー。だからぼくはセーターを着て出かけたんだに。マラソンの通りまでは遠かったから、ああ、マラソンってこんなに長い距離を走るんだなもーと思ってしみじみしたなも。アヤコがフルマラソンは42.195 kmだって言っとったね。ぼくの体重は１１キロくらいだから、、、？？？ま、とにかくでーらたくさんの人がランナーたちを応援に来とったに。

アーロンは今までに２回マラソンを走ったことがあるらしいんだに。でらすごいがね！あと１回走りてゃーらしいわ。だからぼくがトレーナーになったげるって言っといた。ぼく、２、３ブロックならでら早く走れるからいいトレーナーになれると思うんだに。

マラソンってなんか心高ぶらせるものがあるなもー。だからぼくも家まで走って帰ろうと思ったんだけど、道にでらすごい数の銀杏が落ちとって、ついつい匂いをかいだりつまみ食いしてみたりしとって走れんかった。銀杏については一度ちゃんと語るつもりだからよろしくたのむんだなも。
