going a bit crazy ちょっとハイになる

i'm pretty healed (mentally) from yesterday's surgery. i took half of the pain medicine this morning, but other than that, i'm totally fine. i have good appetite, i love walking, and i sleep very well. but my mom thinks that i'm going a bit crazy. maybe i'm a bit more hyper because i'm so happy that my surgery is over. after a big day like yesterday, the normal sunset time like this photo feels very nice and peaceful. (i'm a good poet, aren't i?) and that's why i pulled mom more and tried to eat more poop.

of course i didn't forget to check what's on sale on a grocery store ad on the street. i'm a good shopper.
don't worry mom, i just want to feel like a baby a little bit now. more treats will heal me good!

昨日の手術から、今日はもうかなり調子がよくなったに。朝、痛み止めを半分飲んだだけで、あとは絶好調だがねー。食欲もでらあるし、散歩は楽しいし、ぐーっすり眠れるし。でもアヤコが言うには、ぼくはちょっとハイらしい。うーん、やっぱりちょっとハイかも？だってさー、手術が終わってうれしいがねー。ああいう大仕事したあとは、こんな普通の夕暮れが平和で満ち足りたものに見えるなもー。うーん、詩人だがね。だからこそちょっとハイになって、散歩のときアヤコをいつもよりもっと引っ張ってって、ほかの犬のウンチをもっとたくさん食べようとしたんだに。もちろん道ばたに落ちとった広告で安売りのものをチェックするのも忘れんかった。買い物上手。

それから花がたくさん散るのを眺めて、花が地面に落ちる前に食べようとしてみた。なかなか難しかったなも。
まあアヤコはそんなに心配しんでいいよ。手術のあとだし、ちょっと赤ちゃんの気分を味わいたいんだにー。おやつたくさんくれたら、もっと早く傷口もよくなるに。

good bye my balls ぼくのタマタマ バイバイ

today was the day. i said good bye to my balls. my parents were crying when they dropped me off at the vet's. i actually liked the anaesthesia. it felt good to sleep like that. when i woke up, i did't have my balls any more. after the surgery, i slept the whole day. i also got micro-chipped so i can always come back home. i'm so high tech.

i came back home very hungry. but my mom made me eat really slowly. my vet said that i might not want to eat. wrong! i am a young proud french bulldog! i want to eat 24/7. so i ate, i walked, and i took a very good poop. i think i said a very nice good bye to my balls. mr. balls, i will miss you, i enjoyed having you... i put mr. balls' photo to honor them today.

ついに「そのとき」はやってきたのだ。今日、ぼくはタマタマに別れを告げたんだに。アーロンとアヤコはぼくを獣医さんに連れてってくれたとき泣いとったね。実はけっこう麻酔が気に入ったがね。あんなふうに熟睡するのってけっこう気持ちいいもんだにー。目が覚めたとき、もうタマタマはなくなっとった。手術のあとは一日中昼寝した。アーロンが言うには、ぼくの度胸のよさはアヤコに似とるって。ぼくは運が強いんだにー。マイクロチップも入れてもらったし、これで立派なニューヨーク犬になったってことだなも。

夕方、家にでら腹ぺこで帰って来た。だって昨日の夜から何にも食べとらんかったもんね。アヤコがごはんをくれたけど、心配してゆっくり食べなさいって何回も言われた。獣医さんは、ぼくが今夜は食欲ないかもって言っとったけど、わかってないなー。ぼくはフレンチブルドッグだに。２４時間いつだって食欲モリモリだがねー！ごはんも食べた、散歩もした、でっかいウンチもした。タマタマとぼくは良い別れ方をしたと思う。タマタマさん、またね。また会う日まで元気でねー。今日はタマタマ記念に、タマタマ写真を載せるでよー。

construction confusion リフォームで混乱

my home has changed. one day i found some guys in our home, and they started taking down the kitchen. the kitchen is my favorite area at home because that's where my parents prepare food for me. then, they moved things from the kitchen to our living room. so now i can't lay on our couch. so sad. i'm not scared of the noise they make, but i miss sleeping on the tatami mat.

now, there is a baby gate to separate the kitchen+living room from the rest of our apartment. i don't like the baby gate so much. sometimes it falls and scares me. i try to see how the construction is going through the gate all day.

i have to ask my dad to build an automatic treat dispenser in the new kitchen. if i can have that after this construction, i can say that it is worth living without the tatami mat.

家が変だ。ある日、知らん人たちがやってきて、キッチンを取り壊し始めたのだ。リフォームってなんだー！キッチンはぼくが家の中で一番好きな場所なのに。だってキッチンはぼくのごはんができてくるとこだもんね。なのにさー、ガス台やら冷蔵庫やら全部をリビングに移動してまったもんだから、足の踏み場もにゃーでよ。ソファでのんびりもできんよ。悲しいねー。工事の音は気にならんけど、リビングのたたみの上で寝れんのが悲しいなもー。

工事が始まってから、キッチンとリビングにぼくが行かないように、赤ちゃん用のゲートがつけてある。いやだー。ときどきあのゲートが倒れてびっくりするでいかんわ。最近では毎日、ゲートの前に座ったり寝転んだりしながら、工事の行方を監督しとるんだよー。

アーロンに、新しいキッチンには自動おやつディスペンサーでもつけてもらわないかんね。それがあれば、この苦しい生活に耐えたかいがあったってもんだがねー。早く工事が終わってほしいねー。

sleepy face ネムネム顔

sunday is a sleepy day. especially a day like rainy day. i went to bed last night at 11pm, and i slept until 8:40am. wow i didn't go pee pee for almost 10 hours! this is great for my mom. she doesn't have to wake up so early to walk me. glowing up is a good thing.

last night, i did a video chat with my japanese grandparents. i sat in front of the computer and talked to them. i was so sleepy, but i did some tricks for them, too. they seemed to be very impressed. they talked to me in a japanese frog language that i don't know so well. i have to learn some words for them. i thought i look like my grandfather, big papi. does that mean he has a frog face?

日曜日は眠い。とくにこんな曇り空の日はねー。昨日の夜は１１時に寝て、朝８時４０分までたっぷり寝たんだに。すごい！だって１０時間近くオシッコに行かんかったってことだに。アヤコはうれしそうだったねー。だってもうでら早起きしてぼくの散歩しんでいいんだもんね。おとなになるっていいことなのかもしれんなもー。

昨日の夜は日本のじーちゃんばーちゃんとビデオチャットしたのだ。パソコンの前に座ってカメラをじっと見つめる。でら眠かったからこの写真みたいな顔だったけど、ちゃんと芸も披露したんだに。みんな感心しとったがねー。でもじーちゃんばーちゃんはかえる日本語でぼくに話しかけるから、もっとかえる日本語の勉強しないかんと思ったね。ちなみにぼくってちょっとじーちゃん（ビッグパピー）に似とると思うんだけど、ってことはじーちゃんはかえる顔ってこと？

chubu patrol パトロール

i went to my mom's work again today. i had such a busy day today because i got a new project - patrol the office. because i am smaller than most of the humans, i can go check small spaces that humans can't. i checked if there's any strange creatures or something i can eat. it's a tough job. this office is so big and soho could be a dangerous place. but you can see how good of a job i did from the first photo.

after the job is done, i took a nap on my new bed. this bed is my work bed. my dad bought it for me yesterday at ikea. it's smaller than my bed at home, but it's nice to have a bed at work. i feel very professional.

今日はまたアヤコの会社に来とるよ。今日は新しい仕事を仰せつかってまったから忙しかったねー。新しい仕事っていうのは、オフィスのパトロール。ぼくは人間よりかなり小さいから、ちっちゃいすきまにも楽々入れるんだに。ぼくはがんばって、へんな生き物がいないかとか、なにか食べ物が落ちてないかとか調べた。大変な仕事だったし、SOHOは危険な場所にもなりうるでよー、がんばったがね。今日はいい仕事したなもー。

一仕事のあとは昼寝だがね。きのうアーロンがイケアで新しいベッドを買ってくれたのだ。家にあるベッドよりは小さいけど、けっこう寝心地いいし、なにより会社にぼく専用のベッドがあるっていうのがたまらんねー。なんかプロってかんじだがねー。

GPS 犬ナビ

i have a very good sense of direction. i can find frog faced friends from blocks away, and i can find things to eat (not only food) wherever i am. so my mom asked me to be a navigator when we drove to pennsylvania. the traffic was bad, and we got off nj turnpike. now it's time to show how good i am to read maps! look how professional and motivated i am in this photo. i was better than a robot GPS for sure.

it was a nice day and the sun was coming through windows. so i decided to take a nap. and the nap turned into a giant nap. the vibration of the car really helps. (and mom and dad couldn't hear me snore so much because of the noise.) i had my bed, i had my harness and seat belt on, it was perfectly air conditioned... that was one of the best naps i ever took.

ぼくは全然方向音痴じゃにゃー。かえる顔の友達なら何ブロックか先からでも発見できるし、食べられそうなものならどこにおっても見つけられる。この才能を見込んで、ペンシルバニアに行くときアヤコが、ぼくにナビをするように頼んできたんだに。道が渋滞してて、いつもの高速をおりるはめになったのだ。さあそこでぼくの腕の見せ所だがねー。地図読むのなんてでら得意。いかにも自信満々で地図読んどるみたいに見えるだらー？そんじょそこらのカーナビよりよっぽど優秀なんだに。

あの日はお天気がよくて、日がさんさんと窓から差し込んどったなも。だから昼寝することにした。ちょっとのつもりがかなりながーい昼寝になったんだに。車の振動がまた気持ちいいんだなもー。ぼく専用のベッドはあるし、シートベルトはしたし、エアコンもついとって車の中の気温は完璧だったし、あー、あれはいい昼寝だったなもー。

swimmer 泳ぐぞー

french bulldogs are not known for being good at swimming. but i am an exception. look at the proof! i went swimming with my siblings. it was a very nice hot day, so the water felt cool and nice. my dad went into the water and called my name, so i jumped in. lenni, my brother and RA showed me how to swim. i think my head is a bit too heavy to float, but i definitely got the right move. there were some humans who were fishing. and i believe that they had buffalo wings with them. (my sniffing ability is very high.) i thought of swimming to where they were fishing and being fished/caught so i can get their buffalo wings, but my dad didn't let me. but he said that he would buy me a small pool for me if i was a good boy. swimming makes me really hungry, so i want to request a treat stand next to my pool. i think it will be so nice! everyone is welcome to swim with me in my 2.5" deep pool this summer.

by the way, today is my mom's birthday. she turned 4.75 dog years old. i sent her tulips to her work. i'd rather have treats for my birthday, but humans seem to like flowers. (i like eating them sometimes.) i will give her a lot of kisses tonight.

フレンチブルドッグは泳げないっていうのがお約束みたいだけど、ぼくは例外中の例外なんだに。この証拠写真を見てみやー。兄弟そろって泳ぎにいったときの写真だに。でら暑い日だったから、水が冷たくて気持ちよかったなもー。アーロンが先に水に入ってぼくを呼んだから、息を止めて勢いよく飛び込んだ。レニーが泳ぎを教えてくれて僕もやってみた。水に浮かぶには、ぼくの頭がちょっと重すぎな感じだったけど、フォームだけはきれいだったに。ちなみに、近くで釣りをしとった人たち、絶対にトリの手羽先を持っとった。いいにおいがしたもん。その人たちのところに泳いでいって、釣りあげてもらって、手羽先を分けてもらおうと思ったけどアーロンにダメっていわれてあきらめた。泳ぐとでらおなかすくんだよねー。でもそのかわりいい子にしとったらビニールプール買ってくれるって。プールの横には小さいおやつスタンドつけてほしいなー。いいと思わん？

ところで今日はアヤコの誕生日なんだに。犬の年でいうと４．７５歳になったんだに。だから会社にチューリップの花束を送ったのだ。すごいでしょー。ぼくは花よりおやつの方がいいけどよー。

school of tricks 芸の学校

past weekend, i found out that i have a sister and 2 brothers. they are weimaraners. my sister is sadie, and my brothers are otis and lenni. we are all students at school of tricks. the teacher is my grandmother and grandfather. actually, sadie and otis are graduate students already. lenni is like my RA. he was showing me so many tricks he can do. look how good students we are! the tricks i learned were "touch" "turn left" and "come." it was nice to attend in a class in a yard. i couldn't master them in the weekend, so i got a lot of homework.

one thing i didn't understand about my siblings is that they have pointy nose. they are a little bigger than me, but i didn't see the difference so much other than my frog face and their pointy nose. i wonder if they can smell better with their nose. my RA lenni became my best friend. he is so much fun to wrestle with. i think i might be a bit stronger than him, so i controlled my strength when i played with him. my sleep over at my grandparents was so fun! i want to go see them again soon.

先週末、ぼくには姉ちゃん１人と兄ちゃん２人がいることが発覚したのだ。３人ともワイマライナーっていう犬で、姉ちゃんはセイディ、兄ちゃんはオーティスとレニーっていう名前。ぼくたち４匹とも芸の学校の生徒なんだに。先生はばーちゃんとじーちゃん。セイディとオーティスはもう大学院生みたいなもんで、レニーは教習中の先生みたいな感じだったね。レニーはでらいっぱい芸を見せてくれたから、ぼくもがんばるぞーっていう気になったがね。２日間で習った芸は「鼻でタッチする」「左に回る」「呼ばれたときは絶対来る」の３つ。２日間で３つなんてすごいがねー。でも１つもマスターしてないんだけどね。だから宿題でらいっぱいでたんだに。

ぼくの兄弟についてよくわからんとこは、なんでみんなとんがった鼻なのかなーってことだに。みんなぼくよりほんのちょっと大きいんだけど、鼻のこと意外ではそんなに違うとは思わんかった。レニーはぼくの親友になったんだに。取っ組み合いの遊びがでら楽しかったー。本当のこと言うと、ぼくはレニーよりちょっと力が強い気がしたから、手加減してあげたんだに。じーちゃんばーちゃん家での初めてのお泊まり会はでら楽しかったね。またみんなにすぐ会いたいなもー。

passover パスオーバー

i just came back from a weekend stay in pennsylvania. i went there for passover at my great grandfather's house. everything i experienced this weekend was new to me. i met a lot of my human cousins and dog cousisns there. before the seder, i put on yamaka. it was a human sized one, so i tried not to move for the photo opportunity. i think i look very good with white yamaka. then the seder began. i sat very quietly under the table and wait for my turn to read the book. my turn came, and there were some lines in non-frog language. i couldn't read it. i liked the photos and drawings in the book, though. especially the little boys and baby bird page had so many drawings done by dad. i also enjoyed the songs they sang. maybe by the next passover, i can learn some of those songs.

one of my human cousins hannah gave me the coolest gift. she made me a sweater! it has my name on the back! i can't wait to wear it every day in next winter! thank you hannah. i hope i can play with sulley more next time.

it was an adventure packed weekend. so i want to tell you all the stories. to be continued!

今、ペンシルベニアでの週末から帰って来たのだ。ぼくのひいじいちゃんの家でのパスオーバーっていう祝日を過ごして来たんだに。この週末は初めての体験をでらいっぱいしたがねー。人間のイトコたちにも犬のイトコたちにもいっぱい会ったに。パスオーバーの儀式が始まる前に、伝統にそってヤマカっていう帽子をかぶった。でも人間サイズのしかなかったから、帽子が落っこちないようにじっとして写真を撮ってもらったんだに。モデルの才能あるんでないのー。儀式が始まって、ぼくはおとなしく自分の順番を待っとったんだけど、いざ順番がきてみたら本に書いてあるのがかえる語じゃなかったもんで読めんかった。でもアーロンが落書きしたページはでら笑えたねー。みんなが歌っとった歌もおもしろかったね。来年はぼくも歌えるように、今から練習しんといかんね。

人間のイトコ、ハナがすんごいプレゼントをくれたんだに。なんとぼくにセーターを編んでくれたのだ！しかも名前入りだがねー！まだ春がきたばっかだけど、冬が待ちきれんね。

peep show in nyc NYののぞき部屋

way before i was born, one of the famous things about nyc was peep shows in times square. time passed by, and times square has changed. but i found the peep show that is still alive! it is in the bathroom at my home. i was caught peeping while mom was taking shower. (but i was caught only once! that's why i have only one photo.) i really want to know what is happening behind the curtain. maybe there is a mountain of treats that i haven't discovered. because i had a few "accidents" in the bathroom, normally the bathroom is closed. the door is open only when mom or dad are in shower. i can't help going in there and try to look... can someone tell me what is happening behind the curtain?

ぼくが生まれるずーっと前、ニューヨーク名物といえばタイムズスクエアののぞき部屋だったのだ。時代は変わって、タイムズスクエアはでら変わった。でもぼくはまだニューヨークに健在ののぞき部屋を発見したんだに！それはうちのバスルームにあった。アヤコがシャワーを浴びとるとこをのぞこうとして捕まったのが最初の写真だがね。（１回しか捕まってないから写真も１枚しかにゃーんだに。ぶふふー）でもあのカーテンの向こう側になにがあるか気になってしょうがないがねー。もしかしてでらすごい量のおやつが隠されとるのかもしれん、、、。でもぼくは何回かバスルームでオシッコしてまったことがあるから、普段はバスルームに入れてもらえんのだに。だからアヤコやアーロンがシャワー浴びとるときだけがチャンス。のぞきはやめられんねー。だれかカーテンの向こうで何が起きとるか、教えてほしいもんだなも。

dog whisperer シーザーさまさま

mom came back from her business trip. she went on a business trip to my home state. so she smells a bit nostargic today to me. i was so excited when she came home and i tried to jump from the couch to the coffee table. it's good to have a whole family at home. after we had a little walk, we watched the best tv show in the dog friend world, the dog whisperer. i love this show! the epsode we wathed today was about going to a dog run. as usual, ceaser is great. i couldn't stop watching him talk in front of the camera. i kind of want to be on the show and meet him... but i am a very good boy by nature! maybe i can send my photo to show how much i look like a frog. maybe ceaser will visit me some day.

今日はアヤコが出張から帰って来たのだ。アヤコはぼくの生まれ故郷に行っとったから、帰って来たときはなんとなく懐かしいにおいがしたなもー。２日ぶりにアヤコの顔見たらうれしくて、思わずソファからテーブルに飛び移ろうとしてまった。（けど失敗した）家族がそろうってやっぱりいいもんんだなもー。夜の散歩のあと、一緒にテレビを見た。犬友のあいだで一番人気の番組と言えば、あの有名なドッグトレーナー、シーザー　ミランさまさまの番組だがねー！今日見たのは、ドッグランに行くときのお話で、あいかわらずシーザーさまさまは素晴らしかったなも。じっとテレビに見入ってまったもんね。なんとなくこの番組に出てみてゃーなーと思うときもあるんだけど、ぼくはいいこだからねー！でもぼくがどんなにかえる顔かって写真を送ったら、シーザーさまさまもぼくのとこに来てくれるかもしれんね。

cherry blossom 桜

i'm half japanese. i mean, i am 100% french bulldog, but my human mom is japanese. so i am half japanese. so i enjoy things japanese. for example, i love sleeping on tatami mat, and i like brown rice in my dog food. one of the best things about spring in japan is cherry blossoms. when i went to the dog run the other day, i took this photo of the cherry tree. those pale pink blossoms are so pretty and they also taste good. i highly recommend that you try to eat them.

ぼくは半分日本犬なんだに。本当は１００パーセントフレンチブルドッグだけど、でもアヤコが日本人だからぼくも半分日本犬なのだ。だからぼくは日本のものも好きだに。畳の上で寝るのも好きだし、ぼくのごはんに玄米が入っとるのもいいねー。日本のいいところって言ったら、まず桜だらー。でらきれいだし、しかも食べてもうみゃーときたもんだ。みんなにも食べてみてほしいもんだなもー。

highlight of the day 今日のハイライト

today's highlight came late at night. i was such a good boy staying at home while dad and mom were out, so they bought me a new chew bone. chew bone! what a wonderful thing! when it comes to toys and treats, i don't even trust my parents. so i played with it behind the coffee table. i don't think my dad and mom can see me from where they are sitting. i will have to hide it in my crate later. being a good boy brings a lot of good things to my life. i'll try not to pee on the floor or towel anymore.

my dinosaur chew toy looks a bit lonely... this was my favorite before i got the new bone. don't worry, mr. dinosaur. i will chew you again soon.

今日のハイライトは夜おそくにやってきたのだ。アーロンとアヤコが出かけとるあいだいい子で留守番しとったから、新しい骨のおやつを買って来てくれたんだに。骨のおやつ！でらすてきだがねー！おもちゃとおやつに関しては、ぼくはちょっと用心深いんだに。だからアーロンとアヤコに見えないようにコーヒーテーブルのかげで思いっきり味わった。あとでちゃんとケージのなかに隠さんといかん。いい子でいるっていいことだなもー。これからはもう家の中でオシッコしないように気をつけよう。

でもぼくの恐竜のおもちゃがちょっとさびしそうだなも。ちゃんとあとで遊んであげるからね。

i met my cousin betty today. she is a 2-year-old havanese girl who lives with dad's uncle and aunt. she is so much fun to play with. she weighs about a half of me, but she is so fast to run and knows how to play. i got so excited and my pee leaked. sorry. she lives with 2 cats, so i had a bite of cat food. then, my human cousin daisuke came over from philadelphia. dai-chan was so nice to me. he gave me so much belly rub and i took a nap on his lap.

all of us went to a dog run in washington square park together. at first, we went to the dog run for small dogs. i met a lot of non-frog faced friends. i especially liked chasing the long sausage dogs. i was thinking of chasing real sausages while i was in the small dog run. then, we moved to the dog run for the big dogs. that was rough. a crazy airedale was all over me and my body was wet and covered with sand after he left. i didn't like him! but there were some very nice dog friends there. i'm now confident that i can be friends with big dogs.

it was such action-packed weekend. now i need some quiet time to take a nap.

今日はイトコたちに会ったのだ。　最初のイトコ、ベティは２歳のハバニーズの女の子。ベティはアーロンの叔父さん叔母さんと住んどって、でらいい子だったなもー。体重はぼくの半分くらいしかにゃーんだけど、足は速いし、どうやって犬友と遊ぶか知っとっていい感じだったねー。あんまり興奮したもんで、うれションしてまった。ごめんよ。ベティの家には２匹猫がおったから、キャットフードの試食もしてみた。まあまあだった。そのあと、人間のイトコ、だいちゃんが来た。だいちゃんはめちゃいい人だったねー。いっぱい遊んでなでてもらって大満足だったに。おまけにだいちゃんのふとももの上で昼寝までしたのだ。しあわせー。

みんなそろってワシントンスクエアにあるドッグランに行ったんだに。最初は小型犬用のドッグランにいって、かえる顔以外の犬友と遊んだ。とくにソーセージみたいな体型のダックスフントと遊んだのが楽しかったねー。本物のソーセージを追いかけとる気分だったね。そのあと大型犬用のドッグランに移動した。あれはちょっとキツかったなもー。一匹、でらハイなエアデールがぼくばっかり追いかけ回して体はびしょぬれで砂だらけになるし、疲れたにー。ちょっとむかついたね。でもほかの大きい犬友たちはよかったよ。おかげで大型犬用のドッグランで遊ぶ自信満々になったにー。この週末はいろんな経験したなも。こうしておとなになっていくんだなも。

girls... 女の子ってやつは

i had a play date last night. my parents' friends came over with their french bulldog giselle. giselle is a 3-year-old, brindle girl. we met outside, walked to the dog park, and played with some other smoosh face dog friends. there was a 4-month-old pied girl i met before (i really humped her), and also a boston terrier. i think it was so called love triangle. we wrestle so hard. girls are so hard....

when the humans were having dinner, giselle and i had some intense moments. her frog face is so cute, but she was fisty! because i couldn't beat her fistiness, i stole her chew bone and played with it so much. she was staring at me with angry eyes. we barked at each other so much. (by the way, can you tell which one is me?) girls are so hard. will i ever get a nice girlfriend?

今日はアヤコとアーロンの友達のとこのフレンチブルドッグと遊んだのだ。彼女の名前はジゼル、３歳のブリンドルの女の子。最初は外で会って、一緒にドッグランまで歩いて、そこにいたかえる顔の犬友たちと激しく遊んだんだに。そこで会ったかえる顔たちはみんな女の子だったんだけど、三角関係ってやつ？女の子って難しい、、、。

人間達が晩ごはんを食べとるとき、ジゼルとぼくはときどき緊張した局面を迎えた。ジゼルのかえる顔はでらかわいいんだけど、けんかっぱやかったなもー。ぼくにはとても勝ち目なかったに。だからぼくはジゼルが持って来たおもちゃで遊んでやった！ジゼルはでら怒った目で見とったねー。今日はふたりともでら吠えたし、疲れたなもー。女の子ってほんとに難しい、、、。（ちなみに、どっちがぼくかわかる？）そのうちぼくにもちゃんとした彼女ができるのかなぁ、、、。

my office 仕事部屋

i went to my mom's work today. i'm a regular there. so i have my own office space. it is under my mom's desk. because i like placing my body against something when i'm working/sleeping, i slept against my doggie bag and the mac tower. i like sleeping on the floor because it's cool on my belly. i like the cool floor and warm mac tower combination. work and nap, work and nap, that's the way i like it!

as an intern of mom's office, i have to go to coffee run every time. sometimes i get a difficult order like this.

but when i do my job right, i get a lot of love like this.


by the way, i turned 7 months old today. yaaaay! i feel so matured! even though i peed in the doggie carrier today at my office, i'm half way potty trained and i'm a big boy now! 7-month-old sounds so cool. i hope i will be totally potty trained by the time i'm 8 months old. i'll try for my mom and dad!

今日もアヤコと一緒に仕事に来とるよ。ぼくもうここの常連だからぼくの仕事部屋もちゃんとあるんだに。ぼくのスペースはアヤコの机の下で、いつもぼくのかばんとマックに体をくっつけて昼寝するのだ。床はつめたくてきもちいいし、マックはあったかい。この組み合わせが通なんだがねー！

ぼくはまだ下っぱだから、いつもスタバにコーヒーを買いにいくのも仕事のうち。ときどきこんな複雑な注文する人もおるんだよ。でもちゃんと間違えずに買ってきたときは、こーんなふうにほめてもらえるからやめられんねー。

ところで今日ぼくは７ヶ月になったのだ。イエーイ！オトナなかんじじゃーん。今日は失敗してぼくのかばんの中でオシッコしちゃったし、まだトイレトレーニング中だけど、でもぼくはもう大きいんだに！７ヶ月ってなんかかっこいいなもー。８ヶ月になるころにはトイレトレーニングも終わっていたいもんだね。アヤコとアーロンの睡眠時間のためにもがんばるぞー。

dog run kind of day ドッグラン日和

it feels like the first day of spring! the sun is shining, wind is blowing, and the dog run is waiting for me. so dad took me to the dog run that is closer to where we live. there were so many dog friends there today and i was so excited to meet them. there was one frog-faced friend. we have secret frog-coded language that other dogs don't know about. so we always make good friends.


this dog run is great! there is a human kids' pool. so i tried to swim just like i did in my dream the other day. mmmm, clean water feels nice! (mom just said i have to take a bath tonight) i'm not good at swimming even though my face looks like a frog, but i enjoy being in a pool. (i accidentally peed in the pool. please don't tell anyone.)

swimming, running, chasing other dog friends... so now i have to take a good long nap. then i'll take a bath with mom. after bath is another nap time. i hope i can have a fun dream again.

春だなもー。陽は輝き、風がゆるやかに通り抜けるこんな日はドッグランがぼくを待っるでよー！というわけでアーロンが今日も近所のドッグランにつれてってくれた。今日はいつもよりたくさん犬友がおって、うれしくて大はしゃぎだったね。１匹かえる顔のフレンチブルドッグがいて、かえる顔語で話したんだに。かえる顔語はフレンチブルドッグの言葉でほかの犬友にはわからんのだよ。だからかえる顔同士はいつも仲良くなれるんだよねー。

このドッグランはでらすごい！人間の子供サイズのプールもあるんだに。この間の夢の中みたいに泳げるかと思って入ってみた。うーん、きれいな水の中って気持ちいい！（でもアヤコからの命令で今日はお風呂に入らんといかん。なんで？）

泳いで走って犬友を追いかけ回して、、、そのあとはやっぱ昼寝だらー。それからお風呂に入って、そのあとはまた昼寝だに。またいい夢が見たいもんだなもー。

the rules かけひきの達犬

did any of you read "the rules"? yes, that famous relationship book. even though i didn't read it, i know how to play some rules and i'm kind of good at it. my target is usually my mom, and sometimes my dad. when mom comes back home, i play that rule because i know she really wants to love/rub me. i don't go to her when she calls me. i don't lay with her when she put me next to her on the couch. i walk away from her and hide in my dad's studio. she keeps calling me many times. i can't stop smiling when i hear her calling my name, but i play cool. finally she uses the power of treats. that always works! i get more love from her and i get treats as bonus. perfect!

みんな、「ルールズ」って読んだことある？そうそう、あの有名な本。ぼくは読んだことないけどね、ぼくだってちょっとしたかけひきの達犬なんだよねー！ぼくのかけひきの相手はたいていアヤコで、たまーにアーロン相手にすることもあるんだに。アヤコが仕事から帰ってきたらぼくのかけひきのはじまり！だって一日中家におらんかったアヤコは、ぼくのことスリスリしたりだっこしたりいろいろしたいの、わかっとるからねー。だからアヤコがぼくを呼んでも行かないし、アヤコがぼくをソファにあげてくれても一緒に寝転んであげないんだに。わざとアヤコから離れてアーロンの仕事部屋に隠れたりしとるんだよ。アヤコが何度も何度もぼくの名前を呼ぶと笑いをこらえるのが大変なんだって！でも「ぜーんぜん気にしとらんよ」っていう顔するんだけどね。ついにアヤコがおやつでぼくを釣ろうとしてきたら大成功！いっつも大成功なんだけどよ。こうしてますます愛されちゃって、しかもおやつももらえる。さっすがー！

今日の散歩：６回（アーロンがドッグランに連れてってくれて、ゴールデンリトリバー３匹と遊んだ。めちゃいい運動したがねー。この調子でいくと腹筋割れちゃうかも。アーロンと競争しよっかなー）

my neighborhood 散歩道

today, i want to show everyone my neighborhood. i love walking outside. the first photo is me pretending to be a guard dog. don't i look good? when i first came to this family, i didn't know how to go up and down the stairs. these little steps are the first ones that went down!

the second photo is me walking strong. look how proud i am! my ears are back because i'm happy. i also like my matching collar and leash. i describe my style "preppy"!

the third photo is me being stubborn. i normally pee very quickly, but it takes me a while to make up my mind to poop. sometimes my mom and dad suspect that i might be just trying not to poop sooner because i want to stay outside. well, to tell you the truth, that is sometimes true. there are so many interesting things outside (especially other dogs' poop). anyway, this photo shows my bulldog side of me. please love/rub me when you see me in my neighborhood (if you give me some treats, that would be even nicer)!

今日はぼくの散歩道を紹介するでよ。散歩っていいなもー。１枚目の写真は家の前で番犬のポーズをとっとるところ。んー、しぶいっ！はじめてアヤコとアーロンの家に来たとき、階段を登ったり降りたりができんかったんだよね。この写真に写っとる階段が、記念すべき初めて降りれた階段なのだ！

２枚目の写真はぼくが自信満々で歩いとるところ。耳がうしろに下がっとるってことは、ぼくは上機嫌ってことなんだに。おそろいの首輪とリードもいいでしょ？ぼくのスタイルを一言で言うとねー、プレッピーってとこかなー、ふふふん。


３枚目の写真は頑固なぼくを撮ってみた。散歩のとき、いつもオシッコはすぐにするんだけど、ウンチする場所がなかなか決められんのだよね。だから時間かかるんだに。アヤコとアーロンは、ぼくがずっと散歩していたいからウンチ我慢しとるんじゃないのー？って疑がったりするんだよ！実を言うとねー、その疑いはときどきは本当なんだに。だって外っておもしろいんだもん。（ほかの犬のウンチもいっぱいあるし）ぼくは「フレンチ」ってつくけど、ブルドッグだから頑固なとこもあるのだ！とにかく、散歩の途中でぼくをみかけたら声かけてね。（おやつも大歓迎だぎゃー）
